A 25-year-old mother told police alcohol and anger over her boyfriend's rejection of her sexual overtures led her to assault her baby son. Tabatha A. Coons was arrested Wednesday after giving police a statement about what happened to her 15-month-old child on the night of Oct. 3. She said she stayed awake wondering why. "Cameron and I haven't had sex in a few days and I was still...

A substantial number of those ensnared in "The Gay Lifestyle" were sexually abused as children.  In The Syndemic of STDs and AIDS among MSM, sympathetic author Dale O'Leary, author of One Man, One Woman: A Catholic's Guide to Defending Marriage, mourns the fact of the high incidence of childhood sexual abuse against those who later end up in a homosexual lifestyle. Childhood Sexual Abuse and Other Adverse Events  MSM are more likely to have been victims of childhood sexual abuse. Stall and associates note that a history of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) has been linked to increase risk of HIV infection....

Channel 9 has obtained video from a Seminole County courtroom where an emotional domestic violence victim was sentenced to three days in jail for failing to show up for her abuser's trial. During her contempt of court hearing in July, the woman told the judge she had been having anxiety for months after she was attacked by the father of her child. She said she told the state's victim's advocate that she wanted to drop the charges and move on with her life rather than testify, but she was still called in to court. After she failed to show, she...

Yes, the females with female anatomies and XX chromosomes, who’ve been using girl locker rooms and girl bathrooms their entire lives, should be the ones to relocate to different facilities. We have no problem telling them to suck it up or go pee somewhere else, but for Perry we must move mountains. On the scales of justice, one gender-confused boy outweighs several hundred girls. This is how things work in our enlightened society. Now hundreds of concerned citizens are organizing a counter protest for later this week, hoping to finally intimidate and silence any girl who might still have the...

SYDNEY -- The abuse was meticulously catalogued. From 1950 to 2014, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society amassed some 5,000 files detailing sexual abuse of Australian children by 1,006 of its members, who believe only they -- the Jehovah's Witnesses -- proclaim the truth about God. Young girls were assaulted by neighbors. Teenagers were raped by their fathers. Victims were forced to pray with their abusers. When the children reached out for help, the church's obsession with secrecy and hostility to outsiders kicked in. Victims, ordered to keep quiet, were forced to confront their abusers in person. All complaints --...

The Oregon Secretary of State's office was quick to assert to The Oregonian/OregonLive's Ted Sickinger that its inquiry into the state energy department's chronically troubled tax-credit program is "not an audit." Which raises the obvious question: Why not?

The pro-life group Live Action released the third installment today in its “SexEd” investigative series, showing a Planned Parenthood staffer in Portland, Oregon offering disturbing sex counseling to someone she thinks is a fifteen-year-old girl. The video clearly shows the counselor encouraging the young girl to allow herself to be victimized in violent sexual encounters with her partner. The staffer tells the investigator that “it’s very common to experiment with different things,” including “being tied up” and “whipped” and “the baby thing, where they will put on diapers[.]” Some girls like being “spanked,” “hit,” or “whipped,” said the counselor.

There was plenty to marvel at during the New York City Pride March on Sunday, but one precocious 8-year-old boy stood out from the crowd: Desmond Napoles, of Brooklyn, who joyously strutted and vogued his way down Fifth Avenue in a rainbow tutu and gold sequined cap. And when critics reared their heads on social media Monday, suggesting his participation was inappropriate, mom Wendylou Napoles shut them down with grace and pride. “If you are offended, don’t look,” Napoles wrote, in part, in a lengthy post on the Facebook page of LGBT website NewNowNext. That’s where a photo of...

In one incident, the assistants reported that Ms. Bullock was taking care of a handicapped, non-verbal student, when she became irate at him. Bullock threw a marker at the boy,...

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The child protection agency in Hennepin County has been ignoring reports of child abuse to ease its caseload and control its budget, according to a national child welfare group. The group, Casey Family Programs, studied the county's system for months and presented the findings of a report released last week to the Hennepin County board on Thursday. Casey Family Programs director Dee Wilson also told the board that child protection workers commonly screened out abuse reports, which means families weren't visited and services weren't offered, the Star Tribune ( http://strib.mn/1IhwPjh ) reported. Additionally, neglect cases are looked...

Writing to Slate, a concerned reader asked for advice when it came to an "unusual request" that his wife had to face. The reader explained what can only be described as a form of abuse: the reader's wife is a ballet instructor. Two parents recently came to her and requested that their 10-year-old son, named Dan in the letter, be given private dancing lessons. Dan identifies as a boy. However, his parents told the ballet instructor to address him as "Danielle" and that he would be dressed in a pink tutu. Dan's parents further told the instructor that this was...

The federal government cannot verify nearly $3 billion in subsidies distributed through Obamacare, putting significant taxpayer funding “at risk,” according to a new audit report. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) released an audit Tuesday finding that the agency did not have an internal system to ensure that subsidies went to the right enrollees, or in the correct amounts. “[The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services] CMS’s internal controls did not effectively ensure the accuracy of nearly $2.8 billion in aggregate financial assistance payments made to insurance companies under the Affordable Care Act...

The archbishop of the Twin Cities and a deputy bishop have resigned after prosecutors charged the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis with having failed to protect children from unspeakable harm from a pedophile priest. The Vatican said Monday that Pope Francis accepted the resignations of Archbishop John Nienstedt and Auxiliary Bishop Lee Anthony Piche. They resigned under the code of canon law that allows bishops to resign before they retire because of illness or some other "grave" reason that makes them unfit for office. Earlier this month, Ramsey County prosecutors charged the archdiocese as a corporation with having "turned...
