October Baby star Rachel Hendrix ALABAMA, April 12, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In an interview with the German Catholic news agency Kath.net this week, actress Rachel Hendrix, who stars in the box office hit ‘October Baby’ said, “Every human life is created in the Divine image, it is unique and we should fight for it.” Despite the sensitive subject matter of the film, which touches on abortion with a pro-life message of ‘Every Life is Beautiful,’ the film has startled critics with strong box office showings. Even in its second week the film posted a strong showing, claiming the No. 2...

...Obamacare even contains a clause that prevents insurance plans from letting people know about the required abortion surcharge. You won’t be notified that you’re paying into a plan that covers abortion until your time of enrollment. By then, in most cases, it’ll be too late. It’s sinister government secrecy—a bureaucratic sleight of hand—that will result in wholesale abortion-on-demand provided by the government. Take a look at the text of the law for yourself: (3) RULES RELATING TO NOTICE—(A) NOTICE—A qualified health plan that provides for coverage of [abortions other than in cases of rape, incest, or the life of the...

Youtube video where Romney explains his and the Mormon Church's views on abortion.

Many people know Presidential Mitt Romney as a Republican candidate running for President who likes to complain about President Obama. Many do not see him as a former Mormon Bishop in charge of thousands of Mormon congregants. An investigation based on interviews suggest Romney was pretty radical in his Mormon beliefs. According to a Huffington news report - as a young bishop, Romney got word that Carroll Shelton, a woman in his ward, was considering an abortion. This was Shelton's sixth pregnancy. She was in her 40s, had four teenage children and had developed “medical complications.” As the story goes...

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed a pro-life bill into law today to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. House members passed the bill by a 37-22 vote and abortions after that time period would not be allowed except in very rare cases of medical emergency. The bill also requires abortion facilities to allow women to have an ultrasound of their unborn baby at least 24 hours prior to having the abortion. In many cases women change their minds about a planned abortion after seeing the images of their developing child. Americans United for Life president Charmaine Yoest commended Brewer...

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 12, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Seminarians from the only Pontifical College in the U.S. have an awe-inspiring approach for confronting abortion head-on. Dressed in full regalia of a black cassock, a traditional red sash, and armed with a rosary, the seminarians descend in a powerful show of force every Saturday on a local abortion facility to confront with prayer what the seminary’s rector calls the “poison of abortion.” Father James Wehner, rector of the Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, says he believes that seminarians need to “see visibly the forces of evil at work, and respond with an...

National Right to Life and two other major pro-family groups have endorsed Mitt Romney for president, saying that on the issues of abortion and marriage, he stands with them. National Right to Life's endorsement Thursday (April 12) came two days after Romney's leading challenger for the Republican nomination -- Rick Santorum -- dropped out, making Romney the presumptive nominee. Also endorsing Romney were the Susan B. Anthony List, a group that supports pro-life women for political office, and the National Organization for Marriage, which has led the charge nationwide in protecting the traditional definition of marriage. In its endorsement, National...

A decade ago, while running for Massachusetts governor, Mitt Romney vowed to "preserve and protect a woman's right to choose" abortion. On Thursday, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee won the endorsement of both the oldest and largest anti-abortion group in the nation — the National Right to Life Committee — and one of the newer groups with a large wad of cash ready to spend on his behalf — the Susan B. Anthony List. National Right to Life Committee President Carol Tobias said Romney's former position supporting abortion rights doesn't bother her or her organization. "The pro-life movement is filled...

WASHINGTON, D.C., April 12, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – Despite the fact that Rick Santorum has dropped out of the presidential race and his next leading rival, Newt Gingrich, has called Mitt Romney “far and away the most likely nominee,” the former Massachusetts governor still faces a serious problem, conservative leaders warn. “There is a huge enthusiasm gap among grass roots conservatives that must be addressed by the Romney campaign,” former presidential candidate Gary Bauer, now president of American Values, told LifeSiteNews.com. Mitt Romney A deficit with the party’s conservative base, especially its pro-life and pro-family base, will prove costly in November,...

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Kentucky, April 12, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A group of youths arrested and charged with vandalizing a Kentucky pro-life campus display said that destroying the display was an expression of their “right to free speech.” Pro-life leaders of Northern Right to Life at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) say they first set up the display on Monday morning. It consisted of tiny onesies hanging on a line with red “X” taped onto every fourth outfit to symbolize a life lost to abortion. The display included a sign explaining its significance and citing the Guttmacher Institute. But after the display was...

NARAL is attacking the pro-life October Baby film currently playing in hundreds of movie theaters across the country because proceeds from ticket sales benefit pregnancy centers providing women abortion alternatives. As NARAL writes: The makers of the movie “October Baby” are donating a portion of their profits to a network of anti-choice groups. These groups – known as “crisis pregnancy centers” – are anti-choice operations that pose as abortion clinics. . . .[ . . . ] Dave Andrusko of National Right to Life responds to the attacks: It’s no secret that pro-abortionists are thugs and hypocrites who will do...

As noted on another thread, political pundits often compare presidential elections to previous ones. In the case of Romney vs. Obama, conservatives should look north to the Dominion of Celine Dion and Maple Syrup. This is a repeat of John Tory vs. Dalton McGuinty, the 2007 election in Ontario during which the two candidates contested governance of Canada's largest province. The only difference, other than citizenship, is that John Tory was not Mormon. He was a nominal Protestant, for the most part indistinguishable from the Kennedy Catholic he was challenging. Nevertheless, religion would cost him the election. As Ontario Liberal...

So the assault on presumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney begins from the Obama campaign. On their Facebook page, they’ve posted this inane list of lies and half-truths: Let’s take a look at the claims. First, Obama claims that Romney would “repeal Obamacare and take away health care for millions.” Romney has said he would work to repeal Obamacare – but he isn’t taking away health care for millions. The effect of repealing Obamacare would be to end any mandate that forces individuals to buy health care. People are still free to buy health care. Nobody is “taking away” anything....

An Allentown abortion clinic with connections to a controversial New Jersey abortion doctor has been ordered to close by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Allentown Medical Services at 2200 Hamilton Street, Suite 200, had its registration revoked Tuesday night due to an "infrastructure failure" caused by the clinic's landlord, David A. Klein Real Estate, locking the tenant out of the facility, according to the department's letter to the abortion provider. The clinic's lease expired March 31 and has not been renewed. Bridget Wilson, a spokeswoman for American Women's Services, said the group is looking to re-establish a clinic in the...

PLAINS, GEORGIA, April 11, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – Leader of former President Jimmy Carter’s longtime denomination say his calls for the Democratic Party to adopt a less radical pro-choice platform is a political calculation to help the party in the South. “I never have believed that Jesus Christ would approve of abortions,” Carter told talk show host Laura Ingraham, while promoting his new study Bible. “I’ve signed a public letter calling for the Democratic Party at the next convention to espouse my position on abortion which is to minimize the need…and limit it only to women whose life are in danger...

EUREKA, California, April 11, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Although Planned Parenthood has frequently complained of pro-life prayer vigils - particularly the biannual 40 Days for Life Campaign - one California Planned Parenthood affiliate seems to have chosen an unusually direct way of countering such efforts. Last month, Six Rivers Planned Parenthood (SRPP) of Eureka, California, launched a campaign called the 40 Days of Prayer: Supporting Women Everywhere. The campaign, as noticed by Liberty Counsel, lists 40 different prayers for those involved in the “sacred care” of abortions to continue protecting, providing, and embracing the procedure - including mothers, escorts, abortionists, and...

The Department of Health and Human Services has set in motion the Obamacare abortion premium mandate, a provision that permits insurance plans that cover abortions to participate in state exchanges and requires all enrollees in those plans - even those with religious and moral objections to abortion - to pay a separate monthly premium to cover abortions. But many states are diligently passing laws to stop it. The administration’s health care law permits a state to opt out of allowing health insurance plans that cover abortions to participate in the new health insurance exchanges within that state and thereby prohibit...

A local Planned Parenthood abortion business in California is copycatting the 40 Days for Life campaign, which recently resulted in saving the lives of more than 700 unborn children from abortion. The abortion business has set up its own 40 Days of Prayer for the local abortion center. “We trust you to decide about your sexuality, having your children, and planning your family,” says a flier promoting the Humbolt County Clergy for Choice event. “We are religious leaders who value all human life. We accept that religions differ about when life begins. We are here to help.” “We believe...

NEW YORK, April 10, 2012 (C-FAM) The global fertility freefall is about to cause geopolitical upheaval in Asia, a panel of experts said last week. The experts, all contributors to the new book Population Decline and the Remaking of Great Power Politics, spoke at the world’s largest gathering of international relations specialists meeting in San Diego, California. “For years scholars have said that if fewer people were born, the world would be a safer place. It turns out the opposite is true,” Dr. Susan Yoshihara told conferees at the 53rd annual convention of the International Studies Association, which drew more...
