  • ABC should fire Whoopi Goldberg...maybe not!!!

    07/20/2018 7:28:40 AM PDT · by JLAGRAYFOX · 71 replies
My first thoughts yesterday, when I saw the "Whoopie Goldberg act on the ABC TV show, The View, was that ABC should immediately fire Whoopie Goldberg, and send her to everlasting obscurity in some local rat hole, where she rightfully belongs. But...a minute later...I changed my mind, thinking, that Goldberg woman is one of the finest campaigners for POTUS, Trump in this Mid-Term election cycle. So is Obama, Clinton, Brennan, Warren, Sanders, Pelosi, Schumer, Comey, Strzok, Mueller, Rosenstein, etc. IMHO...money and power cannot buy what a gift these Democrat, buffoons are for our beloved POTUS, Donald J. Trump!!! Go Trumpie...MAGA!!!

Late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel has noticed something. Anti-Trump jokes go over like a lead balloon with people who matter to Hollywood: the audience. And Kimmel admits the audience is sick of this tired routine. A jackass has just woke up and smelled the coffee. DEADLINE: Having missed last year, this will actually be your first upfronts of the Trump Era. Having you been saving up a barrelful of barbs for the President and his ongoing big show? KIMMEL: Oh, wow. Yeah, you know, I hadn’t really thought about it that way, but I guess you’re right. Hopefully it’ll be...

The new Supreme Court pick is very “controversial,” whoever he or she turned out to be. That was the consensus of ABC’s Nightline. About 90 minutes before Donald Trump announced the name of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Nightline’s Twitter page blasted: Again, they didn’t have a name (or any news outlet for that matter), but this mysterious person was “controversial.” Later in the evening, the Nightline account weeted out a “correction” to explain what the network journalists meant to say: As the MRC’s Rich Noyes noted on Monday, networks routinely label “conservative” judges and skimp on “liberal” labels for Democratic nominees.

Disney/ABC, Starbucks, and the NFL should merge, as they are this week’s prime example of how to drive away customers while engaged in absurd CEO virtue signaling. ABC/Disney I never watch television. Its news is a waste of time, with well-groomed, overpaid readers and hokey camera coverage that takes an hour to cover what 10 minutes of a well-written article can better convey. Take the news coverage itself: The EU is falling apart, the talks with North Korea are on and it looks like war will be averted and another country denuclearized, and the Mueller investigation seems more ridiculous than...

After canceling the comedy following star Roseanne Barr's racist tweet, the Disney-owned network has found a way to move forward with the original cast, creators and likely crew as 'The Conners.' Weeks after its stunning decision to cancel Roseanne, ABC is officially moving forward with a spinoff of TV's current No. 1 series — without controversial star Roseanne Barr. Following aggressive talks with exec producer Tom Werner, the Disney-owned broadcaster has handed out a 10-episode, straight-to-series order for Roseanne spinoff The Conners (working title). The new take, which will also be a multicamera comedy and premiere in the fall, will...

It’s official: ABC has given a 10-episode series order to The Conners (working title), a spinoff of Roseanne, for fall 2018. The spinoff will take over the Tuesday 8 PM slot on the ABC schedule that was vacated when Roseanne was suddenly canceled following a controversial tweet by star and executive producer Roseanne Barr. (Roseanne‘s order had been for 13 episodes.) Barr will have no financial or creative involvement in the new series after reaching a settlement with series producer Tom Werner. The Conners will feature the rest of the Roseanne revival cast, John Goodman (“Dan”), Laurie Metcalf (“Jackie”), Sara...

Beleaguered ABC News was reeling Thursday morning after having to correct its latest anti-Trump error -- an on-screen caption Wednesday afternoon that falsely stated that Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's ex-campaign chief, pleaded guilty to five charges of manslaughter. ABC quickly apologized for the error – saying there “is no excuse” -- and an ABC spokesperson said the network is still “investigating” what went wrong. But ABC News sources tell Fox News that the false report was a “practice chyron” that had likely been maliciously written by a hostile ABC News employee (a chyron is a TV news term for words...

ABC News issued an apology Wednesday after a banner during a live report claimed that former Donald Trump aide Paul Manafort had admitted to killing five people. The network covered President Donald Trump's afternoon meeting live in anticipation of his announcement that he was issuing a directive to end the practice of separating parents and children caught crossing the border illegally. During the ABC broadcast, the banner briefly displayed the chyron "Manafort pleads guilty to 5 charges of manslaughter." While the former Trump campaign manager is in jail after his bail was revoked, he has not pleaded guilty to any...

It appears as though, with the long-awaited release of the Department of Justice Inspector General’s report exposing anti-Trump bias by senior FBI investigators, Republican Congressional leadership was finally ready to call for an end to the Special Counsel’s investigation. After House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) spoke out, ABC’s Good Morning America was fearful for the future of the investigation on Sunday morning. “There's news this morning in the Russia investigation. New pressure on the Special Counsel Robert Mueller with two top Republicans calling for Mueller to wrap it up,” announced co-anchor, Dan...

ItÂ’s been almost three weeks since ABCÂ’s abrupt cancellation of its flagship comedy series Roseanne following a controversial tweet by star and executive producer Roseanne Barr. And while there is still no official decision on a potential spinoff series, a lot of leg work has been done behind the scenes. I hear Barr is expected to sign an agreement that would remove her from the potential spinoff and prevent her from suing over it. Terms of the agreements are unclear but it may involve a one-time payment from production company Carsey-Werner to Barr in exchange of her relinquishing any rights...

Once-vaunted ABC News has struggled for identity in recent years, as the TV news spotlight has shifted to cable and the internet. And ABC News' notable shift away from hard news coverage, perhaps in search of viewers, has reduced its relevance in the news ecosystem ... as Disney executives voice increasing frustration with the high costs and low returns of the news operation. ... If you want to understand why the mainstream media is so in love with the Obama administration, this can in part be explained by the fact that a number of big shots who control levers of media power actually do love high-placed officials within the Obama administration. By blood and through marriage, there is more than just a shared belief in left-wing politics that ensured the American media became a mouthpiece for the Obama administration. David Rhoades, the current president of CBS News, is the brother of Ben Rhoades, a White House national security advisor. If Ben’s name sounds familiar,...

I will say I’m proud of the show we made. This show has always been about diversity, love and inclusion. And it’s sad to see it end in this way. Michelle Wolf doesn’t think ABC was brave to revive the conservative-leaning Roseanne, nor does she think the Disney-owned network deserves credit for cancelling its biggest hit. On Sunday’s episode of her Netflix variety/sketch show The Break, Wolf weighed in on Roseanne Barr’s bigoted tweet about former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett, saying, “It’s not a joke. It’s barely a tweet,” and “her excuse for tweeting it was [also] bad. You’ve gotta get better at one of those, Roseanne,” Wolf added. The comedienne then showed a picture from Barr’s most controversial photoshoot: a 2009 spread for the satirical Jewish magazine Heeb, in...

Dear Valerie Jarrett, You smugly describe Roseanne Barr’s firing from ABC as a “teachable moment”. Exactly what will it teach? And to whom? “Education” implies free will and choice. Obama’s administration was all about coercion. Whether it was socialized medicine, opening America’s borders via executive fiat to give your party more power, seizing control of the Internet, threatening to raise taxes by executive order or threatening to imprison people who disagree with your party on climate change or Islam — it was all about coercion. Coercion and education are opposites, Ms. Jarrett. If nothing else, you should be intelligent enough...

President Donald Trump wants to create a safe public space for ugly, unvarnished, unambiguous racism, which he knows he can exploit for political advantage. This cynical and destructive ploy must not be allowed to succeed. But since Tuesday, there has been not a word of censure for Barr's vile "joke" portraying Valerie Jarrett, a top adviser to President Barack Obama, as the result if "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby." Disney pulled the plug on 'Roseanne.' It's on the rest of us to pull the plug on racism Disney pulled the plug on 'Roseanne.' It's on...
