A post-election survey found that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's (R-VA) support for amnesty legislation influenced a majority of voters who ousted him last week in Virginia's seventh congressional district primary that blindsided the mainstream media and rocked establishment Washington.

URGENT: Thad Cochran is trying to steal this election!

This is an urgent call to action.

I wish it wasn't true, but it looks like Senator Thad Cochran supporters are trying to steal this election. The Clarion-Ledger is reporting that a POWERFUL DEMOCRATIC OPERATIVE inside Mississippi has been hired to go into Democratic communities and get those residents to vote for Cochran. We cannot let this blatant effort to steal the election go unanswered!

Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis is a national household name for one reason: abortion. She became the face of the pro-abortion movement when she stood up against a pro-life bill in the Texas legislature to stop late-term abortions. Preferring to keep abortions legal in the Lone Star State up to the day of birth, Davis infamously filibustered the bill and was eventually defeated and the bill became law. Since then, dozens of abortion clinics have either closed down or stopped doing abortions. After the filibuster, conservative activist Erick Erickson of Red State called David “Abortion Barbie” on Twitter and the...

A new poll released by Chism Strategies on the Republican runoff for U.S. Senate shows a statistical dead heat between incumbent Thad Cochran and challenger Chris McDaniel. The statewide poll was conducted Friday night among 821 households and only included voters who voted in the June 3 Republican primary. The runoff election is June 24. Chism raises the following key questions in the "observations" section of the poll: -- Will traditional "general election Republicans" in university towns,...

In the midst of all the foreign affairs stories it was probably easy to miss a bit of domestic political news coming out of the Hawkeye State yesterday. At the 2014 Iowa GOP state convention, political activists loyal to Governor Terry Branstad essentially ousted all of the “dissidents” loyal to Rand Paul, securing control of the state party for the perceived establishment. Establishment forces officially wrested control of the Iowa Republican Party from supporters of Rand Paul on Saturday, a development the victors said would help save the state’s first-in-the-nation presidential caucus from being marginalized and possibly spell the demise...

As of 3:35 PM local time in Moscow, Idaho, the 2014 Idaho Republican Convention is history. And what a piece of history it is! The fireworks started a couple weeks prior to the convention, in events surrounding reorganizational meetings for county Republican Central Committees throughout the state. These are meetings in which officers are elected; sometimes the old ones are reelected, sometimes new ones are elected. Also at these reorg meetings delegates for the convention are elected. Operative word, "elected." This year, there were abnormalities in three counties that drew complaints that were subsequently handed off to the Credentials Committee...

Republican congressional primary candidate Niger Innis of Nevada lost his bid to represent the 4th Congressional district of the Silver State, but he questions the outcome because of the number of votes received by a candidate who did no campaigning.(SNIP) Hardy defeated the tea party candidate by 10 percentage points. The Nevada assemblyman received 43 percent of the vote, Innis received 33 percent, Mike Monroe captured 22 percent of the vote, and Carlos Poliak won 2 percent.

Power Players He once worked for Sarah Palin and has been dubbed a “protégé” of Condoleezza Rice. Now Dan Sullivan is fighting to become a high-profile conservative brand name of his own, trying to unseat Democratic Sen. Mark Begich of Alaska in one of the most closely watched political races of the year. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin appointed Sullivan attorney general in 2009. Before that he worked within President George W. Bush’s inner circle as a senior adviser to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Now, Sullivan has the task of convincing GOP primary voters that he is Alaskan enough,...

It was a bit lost in the hubbub over rules and credentials fights, but the platform committee at the Idaho Republican Party convention in Moscow today voted to remove one of the most controversial planks in the party’s platform: The one calling for repeal of the 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which would have the effect of doing away with direct election of U.S. senators and instead letting state legislatures choose senators. “I was the one who made the motion,” said Rep. Brandon Hixon, R-Caldwell, a delegate from Canyon County. “It passed the committee. Now it will go to...

WASHINGTON — Congressional Republicans thought they had found an answer for the conservative insurgencies that had toppled unsuspecting incumbents in recent years: Be prepared, be aggressive and be conservative. The approach had been working pretty well as senior Republicans in the Senate and the House beat back challenges from the right in the primaries. They hoped to shut out Tea Party-allied groups entirely. Then Senator Thad Cochran was forced into a runoff in Mississippi that opened the door to the possibility of a high-profile Tea Party upset later this month. Now, Representative Eric Cantor’s shocking defeat has battered the door...

Go to the link to see the latest Polling on Senate Races. Basically it's mostly good news for Conservatives. In KY, Grimes is leading McConnell 49 -46. In GA, Kingston is up 11 on Perdue. They both are handily defeating Nunn. Ernst is up on Braley in Iowa by 1 in one poll and up by 6 in another. And, of course Chris McDaniel is up on Cochran. Check it out. It's pretty good news for our team.

An upset last night in the Democrat primary for governor of Nevada was almost as stunning as the Brat win in VA-7. "None of the Above" won with 29.96% of the vote. Nevada was the first state to institute a “none of the above” line to its ballot in 1975, as a way for voters to protest weak, unqualified candidates.

Washington remains in shock today, two days after an unknown college professor upset House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the Republican primary for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. The political earthquake is still reverberating around D.C. And many people are now asking, “Who is the next Dave Brat?” His name is Joe Carr, and he’s taking on Lamar Alexander, the liberal Republican senator from Tennessee.

These guys will just be moderates with no leader. There is no need to protest vote against them if Cantor isn't forming some RINO coalition with them. Boehner may look west for a new crew.

Virginia voters on Tuesday chose congressional candidate David Brat, an underfunded, tea party-supported economics professor, over House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a stunning Republican primary election. And U.S. Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (R-Milford) sees that as a good sign in his race against Republican fundraising juggernaut David Trott.

I attended the Texas Republican Convention held in Ft. Worth, Texas from June 5-7 2014 as a delegate and the big takeaway was that the Tea Party has effectively taken over the Republican Party in Texas. But before I describe why I believe that the Tea Party has taken over, let me give you some background information and a little history of the Republican Party in Texas. After the Democrats won control of the Texas legislature in 1872 from the post-Civil War Reconstruction Republicans, Democrats dominated Texas politics for more than a century, while Republicans remained largely marginalized. It was...

One day before Majority Leader Eric Cantor's historic primary loss, the Wall Street Journal reported: “Immigration's Primary Effect Muted.” One day after, the newspaper is reporting nothing like the shocking upset will happen again. “Those senators have been preparing for months and months for whatever might come their way and they won’t be caught off guard,” Brian Walsh, a paid consultant of the National Republican Senatorial Committee told the Journal for a piece headlined “GOP Establishment: No More Surprises Coming.”
