“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg got into a screaming match about President Trump on Thursday with guest and Fox News host Jeanine Pirro. Pirro appeared on the show to promote her new book, “Liars, Leakers and Liberals” but wound up telling Goldberg she’s suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” “Listen, I don’t have 'Trump derangement,'” Goldberg fired back. “Let me tell you what I have. I’m tired of people starting a conversation with 'Mexicans are liars and rapists.'” “Listen, I’m 62 years old. There have been a lot of people in office that I didn’t agree with,” she continued. “But I...

Full tile.... Jeff Flake takes to Senate floor to suggest Trump committed TREASON by giving 'aid and comfort' to 'enemy' Russia ..... The Trump-Helsinki summit brought new accusations in Congress Thursday, as GOP Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona accused the president of providing 'aid and comfort' to the enemy. Flake's choice of words evoked the Constitution's definition of treason – at a time when President Trump is facing a new level of scrutiny for his refusal to forcefully condemn Russian President Vladimir Putin for election meddling during their summit meeting Monday in Finland. 'By choosing to reject objective reality in...

The commander of F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming has agreed to replace a Bible on a POW/MIA table with a generic “book of faith,” according to documents released by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. The MRFF is a militant organization that has fought against Nativity scenes, Bible studies and any outward expressions of the Christian faith on U.S. military installations. The head of the foundation, Mikey Weinstein, wrote in the HuffPost that he is dedicated to fighting “virulent religious oppression” carried out by “incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their...

US President Donald Trump has rejected a proposal made by the Russian leader Vladimir Putin that Russia be allowed to question US citizens. The White House earlier said it would consider it but now says Mr Trump "disagrees" with the suggestion. The offer was made at a summit of the two leaders. In return, Mr Putin suggested he might allow access to 12 Russians indicted by the US. The idea of allowing a foreign power to quiz US citizens sparked outrage. "It is a proposal that was made in sincerity by President Putin, but President Trump disagrees with it," White...

Drivers in Omaha are the worst in the nation, while Orlando is home to America's safest motorists, according to a new study. Summer is the busiest and most dangerous time of year for driving, as road-trippers and people on family vacations take to the streets along with the usual commuters. More drivers overall amounts to more bad drivers on the roads, making it more dangerous for everyone. The new study by QuoteWizard.com analyzed 2017 statistics based road incidents, including accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs and citations for things such as running a red light or using a cell phone while driving.

In a dramatic move Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell withdrew the nomination of President Donald Trump’s pick for the Ninth Circuit, Ryan Bounds, after reports surfaced that his nomination didn’t have enough votes for confirmation. Bounds, an assistant U.S. attorney in Oregon for the last eight years, was the Trump administration’s first nominee to the Ninth Circuit, named in September to replace Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain, for whom Bounds clerked. O’Scannlain took senior status at the end of 2016. Both of Bounds’ home-state senators, Democrats Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, opposed his nomination. They withheld their blue slips for Bounds,...

San Francisco's mayor has an idea to stop the homeless pooping in the street: ask them to stop - or to at least clean up. She blames charities for San-Fran’s poo-gate, saying they should teach people to “respect the community”. The city is in crisis - vagrants brazenly use drugs on the streets and trash is strewn across footpaths and roads… but watch where you step, as you could also find yourself ankle-deep in human poop. After reports showed that complaints about human feces have doubled in the last three years, the newly-minted mayor, London Breed, pledged to tackle the...

The Fed said that it now planned to keep short-term interest rates near zero until late 2014, continuing the transformation of a policy that began as shock therapy in the winter of 2008 into a six-year campaign to increase spending by rewarding borrowers and punishing savers. The economy expanded “moderately” in recent weeks, the Fed said in a statement released after a two-day meeting of its policy-making committee, but jobs were still scarce, the housing sector remained deeply depressed and Europe’s flirtation with crisis could undermine the nascent domestic recovery. The Fed forecast growth of up to 2.7 percent this...

Jonathan Dale Crenshaw, 46, was arrested Tuesday in the 200 block of Lincoln Road. He was charged with aggravated battery. According to a friend of the victim, the man was asking Crenshaw for directions in South Beach when Crenshaw suddenly stabbed him in the arm and fled on foot, the police report said. Cesar Coronado, who is visiting from Chicago, said his vacation began with a trip to the hospital. "I'm not from here and this is...

The conveniently timed indictments of 12 more Russians by Deputy AG (or should we just face reality and ditch the word “deputy”) Rosenstein who will never see the inside of an American court room probably includes the Russian who “hacked” into John Podesta’s email account secured with the password “password”. Rosenstein was pleased with himself no doubt to announce that 12 Russian spies were caught – er- spying, on President Obama’s watch, by the way, but neglected to include one small detail in his announcement – namely that DNC Chair Donna Brazile and most of the Obama hierarchy let them...

Every time I see another disparagement of American history and American white males, I am poked to compose a list of their accomplishments that put everyone on the left to shame. The left's contempt for America is total – suggesting that leftists see nothing redeeming in who we are. This list should be burned into our memory to counter the left's fifty-year slander of American history. The advances on this list are the result of a unique degree of freedom blended with the Founders' exceptional knowledge of history that created a trickle-down effect in moral influence that no one can...

Online activists angry with President Trump's policies have manipulated Google Images search results, causing images of Trump's face to appear as the top search results for the term "idiot." The Guardian first reported the campaign Thursday, which appeared to begin on Reddit after an initial campaign aimed to get the hit Green Day song "American Idiot" to the top of the British music charts during Trump's visit to the U.K. last week. Several posts on Reddit with tens of thousands of upvotes (bots?) could be found promoting the news stories or the general campaign to manipulate the search results. Google...

A state of emergency imposed in Turkey following the failed 2016 coup to unseat President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expired. The end of the decree, which came in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning, marked a pledge made by President Erdogan during his successful re-election bid last month. More than 75,000 people have been detained under the emergency decree and more than 100,000 others have been dismissed from their government jobs for alleged links to followers of U.S.-based Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen, who Ankara blames for the failed coup, as well as Kurdish militant groups. Turkish lawmakers began debating legislation...

As Donald Trump abdicates U.S. leadership and dismantles the democratic international order, prospects for global cooperation look bleak. Fortunately, America is more than Washington and the United States is more than the federal government. Around the nation, governors are going global. In states both red and blue, they are engaging governments abroad, partnering with foreign provinces, and promoting cross-border trade and action on climate change. The White House may be in retreat, but statehouses are not about to turn their back on globalization. At the forefront of this activism is the National Governors Association (NGA), which begins its annual summer...
