Rose McGowan called out actresses who plan to wear black gowns to the Golden Globes to protest gender inequality.

The actress took to Twitter on Saturday, writing, "Actresses, like Meryl Streep, who happily worked for The Pig Monster, are wearing black @GoldenGlobes in a silent protest. YOUR SILENCE is THE problem. You’ll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect no real change. I despise your hypocrisy. Maybe you should all wear Marchesa." Marchesa, a womenswear company, was founded by Georgina Chapman, Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife. Weinstein himself is presumably the "Pig Monster" in McGowan's tweet.

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen made it clear during her first full week on the job that border security and the enforcement of immigration laws is her top priority, and said those priorities came directly from President Trump. "The president has made it clear that my number one priority as secretary of Homeland Security is to protect America from all threats," Nielsen told the Washington Examiner on Friday. "As I discussed this week, making America safe starts with securing our borders, increasing interior immigration enforcement, protecting our communities, and dismantling transnational criminal organizations." "We have accomplished much, but to fully...

Dear Democratic Party: You were the love of my life. I fell in love early and hard. I have been the kind of party loyalist ― the kind of sappy, soapbox-y, clichéd devotee ― that makes Fox News moonwalk with glee. The first vote I ever cast, at 18, was for Bill Clinton. The last vote I cast was for his wife, Hillary. My adoration for Hillary bordered on mania. In college, I named my ficus plant after her. Twenty years later, I canvassed, held fundraisers, dragged my 8-year-old daughter door to door, proudly wore HRC’s face on T-shirts and...

Former Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) wants to protect the United States from . . . wait for it. . . aliens from outer space. Both the New York Times and Politico just revealed on Saturday that Reid launched a program in 2007 to investigate Unidentified Flying Objects. You know, UFOs. Or Little Green Men, or ‘Greys,’ or whatever. Called the “Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program,” it wasn’t an official secret, yet only a few people knew about it. These included Reid and the late Senators Daniel Inouye (D-HI) and Ted Stevens (R-AK). So what did they investigate? Supposedly stuff like...

The economy is booming, with the New York branch of the Federal Reserve now estimating it will grow at the pace of 3.98% in the fourth quarter. That would represent our third straight quarter above 3% economic growth, a feat not achieved in over a decade.

Now that net neutrality has ended and the internet’s been shut down, hordes of confused peasants roam America’s formerly bustling highways on foot, trudging along as they stare forlornly at their now-useless mobile devices which used to connect them to the rest of the world. Those few of you clever enough to have hooked into the Russian-run dark web and are still able to read the content at Hot Air may have some good news to share with them, however. Net neutrality is coming back, baby! There’s just one catch. You’ll have to go to California to enjoy it so you’d...

A coalition between the anti-immigration Austrian People's Party and the anti-establishment Austrian Freedom Party, which will be sworn into office on December 18, is poised to catapult Austria to the vanguard of Western Europe's resistance to mass migration from the Muslim world. The massive demographic and religious shift underway in Austria, traditionally a Roman Catholic country, appears irreversible. Austria has also emerged as a major base for radical Islam. "We have a lot in common [with Israel]. I always say, if one defines the Judeo-Christian West, then Israel represents a kind of border. If Israel fails, Europe fails. And if...

SAN CASIMIRO, Venezuela — Kenyerber Aquino Merchán was 17 months old when he starved to death. His father left before dawn to bring him home from the hospital morgue. He carried Kenyerber’s skeletal frame into the kitchen and handed it to a mortuary worker who makes house calls for Venezuelan families with no money for funerals. Kenyerber’s spine and rib cage protruded as the embalming chemicals were injected. Aunts shooed away curious young cousins, mourners arrived with wildflowers from the hills, and relatives cut out a pair of cardboard wings from one of the empty white ration boxes that families...

Wednesday on “The Late Show,” NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman opened up about his visits with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, saying the dictator has “changed” and does not want war. “He said, ‘I don’t want war,'” Rodman recalled from one of his recent visits with Kim Jong-un. “He sounds like he’s more of a kid than anything,” he added. “I think he really wants to change his culture, but I think he’s forced to be in this position because every time I go over there he’s changed so much for the people. And people don’t see that.”

The Islamic State terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement by its Amaq news agency. It was one of the group’s deadliest attacks against religious minorities in Pakistan this year, following a blast at a Sufi shrine in February that killed more than 70 people. Authorities said they were searching for two other suspects believed to be accomplices. Rescue teams reached the church to evacuate the dead...

During the five-night cruise, 332 cases of the illness were reported, Owen Torres, a spokesman for Royal Caribbean told CNN in a statement. He stressed that it was a small percentage — 5.99 percent — of the more than 5,000 passengers and crew onboard the ship, Independence of the Seas. “Those affected by the short-lived illness were treated by our ship’s doctors with over-the-counter medication,” Torres said, “and we hope all our guests feel better quickly.” It is not known what caused the illness. “It was just terrifying,” Tracy Flores, a passenger whose 15-year-old son came down with the illness,...

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had nothing but praise for President Donald Trump even though the U.S. leader’s political views are the polar opposite of his own ultra-liberal stances. “Donald Trump has demonstrated that he’s a bit of a disruptive force. He does unpredictable things,” Trudeau told CTV. “He’s a deal-maker. He’s a negotiator.” Justin Trudeau praised President Donald Trump Proving that the U.S. president doesn’t have to be a conciliatory apologist for American exceptionalism (like Barack Obama was) to be respected by other world leaders, Trudeau said he’s optimistic about his relationship with the tough-talking Trump. Trudeau said he...

Hopefully, Republican Party leaders realize that in the 2018 elections, the American people will not be played for fools again Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been a disaster for the Republican Party and has been a totally ineffective partner for President Trump in passing critical legislation. After failing on the vitally important bill to repeal Obamacare, McConnell and his Republican colleagues face a major test in the tax reform bill. The stakes could not be higher for the GOP and President Trump. If they cannot show results to the American people, there will be a political bloodbath in the...

The wayfarers were gone, but they left a thank-you note attached to the blanket. Signed by Mary, Joe and newborn son Christian, it read: "Good will to all". That cold Christmas Eve, my boyhood best friend and mentor Jaybird leaned on the porch rail of his home, looking across Mississippi Delta cotton fields he had worked in since he was a boy. In moon-blanched stillness, the fields were taking their winter rest.

Proverb 17 (NKJV) The LORD Tests Hearts 01 Better is a dry morsel with quietness, 00 Than a house full of feasting with strife. 02 A wise servant will rule over a son who causes shame, 00 And will share an inheritance among the brothers. 03 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, 00 But the LORD tests the hearts. 04 An evildoer gives heed to false lips; 00 A liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue. 05 He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker; 00 He who is glad at calamity will not...
