London Mayor Sadiq Khan praised the bravery and initiative of City police in their quick response to anti-Muslim commentary following recent terrorist attacks in Manchester and London. “The adherence of Muslims to the tenets of their faith is protected by laws guaranteeing freedom of religion,” he said. “As pointed out by Shaikh Mohammad Tawhidi in Australia earlier this week, it is not a sin for a Muslim to kill a non-believer. It is a sin for a Christian to not turn the other cheek. By the tenets of the two faiths there is no justification for the criticism leveled against...

Thursday evening, CBS's Scott Pelley, who officially ended his tenure as the network's Evening News anchor the following evening, told viewers that "It's time to ask whether the attack on the United States Congress Wednesday was foreseeable, predictable and, to some degree, self-inflicted." It's clear from Pelley's subsequent commentary that his answers to all three elements are "Yes." It's equally clear from the examples he supplied as support that he sees (or wants viewers to see) the problem as predominantly about the conduct of those on the right. Transcript below: It's time to ask whether the attack on the United...

RUSH: Hey, the Supreme Court has handed down a decision that’s gonna have some ramifications. They have ruled for, in favor of an Asian-American rock band that calls themselves The Slants. Snerdley, you’re a big music guy. Have you ever heard of The Slants, Asian-American rock band called The Slants? I never have. You have heard of them? You like their music? Ohhh, but you’ve not heard their music, you never heard of ’em ’til the story hit? All right. Well, get this. In a win for Asian-American rock band The Slants — and this has got possible ramifications, good...

The United States and Iran have flexed their military muscles in unprecedented ways in Syria to deter attacks on their allies and interests, with Russia warning Washington on Monday it would treat any U.S.-led coalition planes in its area of operations as potential targets after the U.S. military downed a Syrian jet. Tensions escalated on Sunday as the U.S. military brought down the jet near Raqqa for bombing near U.S.-allied forces on the ground, and Iran launched missiles at Islamic State targets in eastern Syria - the first time each state has carried out such actions in the multi-sided Syrian...

Washington (AFP) - The US Supreme Court ruled Monday that senior officials from president George W. Bush's administration cannot be held responsible for abuses against Muslim immigrants and others held in the frantic response to the September 11, 2001 attacks. The 4-2 decision marked a victory for ex-attorney general John Ashcroft and former FBI director Robert Mueller, who have claimed along with other Bush era officials that they have immunity from prosecution. With the court's ruling -- which saw two justices recuse themselves and another skip the vote -- Ashcroft and Mueller also avoided being held personally liable. The court...

Chaffetz is checked out. With less than two weeks left before his early exit from Congress, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) trashed President Trump and U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a no-holds-barred interview. Chaffetz — an ardent Obama critic who withdrew his Trump endorsement weeks before the 2016 election — said he thinks the new administration is already doing a worse job with transparency and helping congressional investigations. “The reality is, sadly, I don't see much difference between the Trump administration and the Obama administration,” Chaffetz told the Sinclair Broadcast Group on Sunday. “I thought there would be this, these...

Friday, I had a great interview with Greg Pruett, the founder and President of the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance. The ISAA has been successful in getting anti-gun legislators voted out of office, getting city and county gun bans overturned (Idaho has a state pre-emption law, but when did a pesky little thing like the law ever stop penny-ante tyrants?), and in making Idaho the ninth state in the nation to pass a Constitutional carry law. Really, if you don’t know what Constitutional carry is, Google it. Better yet, get a copy of the Constitution and read it.

The most recent polls in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District special election to be held on Tuesday show the race is a statistical tie between Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff and Republican candidate Karen Handel. A Fox5/Opinion Savvy poll, conducted over a two day period, from June 14 to June 15, and released on Friday shows an even tighter race. “With only days left until the June 20 runoff, the poll shows Democrat Ossoff with 49.7 percent with Republican Handel with 49.4 percent,” Fox5 Atlanta reported on Friday. Less than 1 percent of the registered voters surveyed are undecided. The Opinion Savvy...

When the Republican-led Senate Rules Committee briefly flirted with the idea of restricting television interviews in the hallways of the Capitol last week, it became only the most obvious manifestation of how the party’s leaders were handling the development of a bill to overhaul Obamacare: out of the public eye. While that effort was quickly sidelined after some outcry, the Republican leadership in the Senate was otherwise unfazed in its push to craft a bill that would expose its members to as little negative public attention as possible. No repeat of the town hall meetings that drew angry constituents who yelled...

An Iowa information technology staffing company last week posted an ad that essentially told American citizens they need not apply. The ad by American Technology Consulting, posted to the recruiting website ZipRecruiter, sought a java developer to work in San Diego. Initially, it stated “H1B Only,†a reference to the H-1B guest worker visa program for high-skilled workers. The company changed the ad and deleted reference to the H-1B visas, but critics said it likely violates the Civil Right Act, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of citizenship and national origin.“It’s explicitly against the law,†said Mark Krikorian, executive director of...

State of California says they have to cut state budget, but only possible cuts are in Police and Fire services. According to the Dems who control California, no cuts are even remotely possible in any of these agencies: California Academic Performance Index (API) * California Access for Infants and Mothers * California Acupuncture Board * California Administrative Office of the Courts * California Adoptions Branch * California African American Museum * California Agricultural Export Program * California Agricultural Labor Relations Board * California Agricultural Statistics Service * California Air Resources Board (CARB) * California Allocation Board * California Alternative Energy...

RUSH: Now, compare and contrast this. The media’s glee at reporting every detail about this London attack to their reluctance to talk about the terrorist who shot up Steve Scalise and the two Capitol Hill police and others. Have you seen any headlines in the Drive-By Media about how the perp, Hodgkinson, was carrying a list of six conservative Republicans in his pocket when he launched his terror attack? All of the people on his list are members of the congressional House Freedom Caucus. These are the Tea Party members. And the six other names that he wanted to target...

It has taken almost exactly one year from when the British people voted to leave the European Union to start the negotiations which began today. During the June 8th election, more than 80% of the voting public voted for parties that said “we will leave the European Union and the Single Market”, and according to polls, the “Die-Hard Remainers” now only number 20-25%. But this has never been about what the actual People want, it has always been about what the Globalists are willing to accept. Minister for Exiting the EU, David Davis, a staunch Brexiteer, has begun the process...

This is Malia Obama: malia obama with long ombre hair and a red jacket with hood up Broadimage/REX/Shutterstock SheÂ’s 18 years old, a future Harvard student, and an all-around normal teenager. Oh, and you may have heard of her dad. He was, like, the president for eight years. And this is Ivanka Trump: ivanka trump in orange dress with hair down AP/REX/Shutterstock SheÂ’s 35. She designs clothes. And she also has a president for a dad. Both of these women pop up in the news quite often, and on the surface, it seems that thereÂ’s little difference between talking about...

OSLO — On an unseasonably warm day in May, Norway’s climate minister, Vidar Helgesen, strolled through a vast parking lot for electric cars, counting Teslas. “Two, three, four, five,” the minister marveled. And that was just one aisle. There are big perks to buying a Tesla — or any electric car — in Norway. The government waives the high taxes it imposes on sales of other cars. It lets electric cars cruise up bus lanes. Toll roads are free. Parking lots like this one offer a free charge, and new charging stations are being built on the nation’s highways. In...

RUSH: They had better get this talk of impeachment under control. This has gotta stop. They cannot be afraid to mention the word. No need to be timid here. This needs to be knocked out of the park. There isn’t anything impeachable that has happened. It is outrageous that five months in this has become the narrative. This was eminently predictable. And I’ll tell you what, I’m starting to see, in a lot of places all over the media, criticism of the elected Republicans in Congress and consultants and strategists sitting on their hands and not saying or doing anything....

Over the past two years we have watched the level of violence perpetrated by the Left grow and grow. During Trump's campaign there were scores (or more) of attacks on his rallies. Hundreds of his followers were injured by these terrorist attacks. That is what they were. Now after months of Democratmedia hysteria attempting to remove the legitimate winner of the last race, we have seen our first actual shooting and attempted murder. Anyone with any integrity would have to admit on examining this case, that the shooter must have been radicalized by these incessant smearing of the President. How...
