A black teacher in Cincinnati, Ohio has resigned after she slapped a handicapped white child and screamed at him that blacks in America “fought” so that they wouldn’t have to “serve white people like him.” This creep resigned not after students complained, but after her own teachers assistants complained of her abusive actions! It was going on for months, apparently. Intervention Specialist Pamela Bullock has left her position at Wayne Local Schools in Warren County, after four teaching assistants wrote a letter to administrators detailing her abuse toward students. In one incident, the assistants reported that Ms. Bullock was taking...

he racist massacre of nine black worshippers at a Charleston, S.C., church on June 17 was an act of such heinous ugliness that it demands to be scrutinized for any larger meanings it may possess. That the victims had graciously welcomed the murderer, Dylann Roof, to their Bible study class at the Emanuel A.M.E. Church and had politely sat with him for nearly an hour before he started shooting makes their killings all the more heart-wrenching. Given America’s history of racial terror, including attacks on black churches, it is appropriate to ask humbly, with trepidation, whether the shooting reflects currents...

On a slow news day, it was either this or the fact that Twitter’s blowing up right now over the NYT’s suggestion that peas would make a fine addition to guacamole. Since only one of those stories has seeped into other major newspapers (so far), that’s the one I’m blogging. Although, for the record, I like peas and think they’d be an intriguing, if not necessarily triumphant, ingredient in guac from a textural perspective. Let’s not wet ourselves over experimental recipes after we, as a people, just got done spending two weeks debating the pros and cons of pizza with...

My company, like many others, offers the same benefits to same sex domestic partners as it does to opposite sex spouses. With the recent supreme court ruling on same sex marriage, we should all call on all of these companies to end domestic partner benefits or offer the same to hetero couples as well. If pushed, think most companies would offer benefits only to married couples of the same or opposite sex. If they want the benefits, make them get married. In a lot of cases, I think we'll find out that they aren't such a dedicated couple as just...

I finally figured out just exactly why I'm enjoying Donald Trump's Presidential campaign so much, even though I don't particularly think very well of him or his politics. It is best illustrated by a fantastic clip from the Jim Carrey film Liar, Liar. For the uninitiated, the film is about a divorced lawyer with an adorable little boy who he constantly disappoints by not showing up when he promises and other letdowns due to Carrey's penchant for lying. The boy makes a birthday wish that his father would have to tell the truth and it works. Cut now to the...

"The only mistake this fellow made that I noticed was using wattle to reinforce the smoke shelf in his little chimney. The people he's copying would have gotten a flat stone from the river for that, and then continued on up the chimney with daub."........

RUSH: Folks, now Macy's has told Trump they're gonna get rid of all of his merchandise, and Trump is showing everybody how this is done. I don't care what you think of Trump, but Trump is not backing down. Macy's cans him, says they're not gonna sell his merchandise anymore. Univision? He's suing Univision! He goes on television and he says, "I didn't know it! Some of my best friends are at Macy's; I had no idea they supported illegal immigration. I had no idea Macy's was in favor of this kind of law-breaking." That's the way it's done! I...

Laws have become too vague and the concept of intent has disappeared. When we think about the pace of change in technology, it's usually to marvel at how computing power has become cheaper and faster or how many new digital ways we have to communicate. Unfortunately, this pace of change is increasingly clashing with some of the slower-moving parts of our culture. Technology moves so quickly we can barely keep up, and our legal system moves so slowly it can't keep up with itself. By design, the law is built up over time by court decisions, statutes and regulations. Sometimes...

DONALD TRUMP: No, I don't apologize. Everybody knows what’s going on. You have illegal immigrants pouring through the country. They’re incarcerated, many of them are in jails. You have hundreds of thousands of people going to state and federal penitentiaries. That just came out in Homeland Security Report. You just have to take a look at them. The crime is rampant all over the place. You have the illegals just literally pouring -- and not from Mexico only, they’re coming from all over the world. You have them all over South America, but they’re coming from the Middle East. They’re...

An ad unveiled today by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign is being denounced by Greta Van Susteren, who says it selectively edited her interview with Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC) to make it appear the Benghazi investigation is politically motivated. Via her website, the Fox News Channel host has demanded the Clinton campaign remove her 81-second “Briefing” spot, also providing a transcript of the original program to prove Gowdy was not actually backing the Democratic presidential primary candidate’s claims. Van Susteren sees the key discrepancy as “Chairman Gowdy saying ‘it could be’ when I pointed out that a delay in releasing the...

Strict legislative and security measures against extremist groups, even if they have not committed violent acts, is in the interest of Islam and Muslims in the West. This is the only way to save millions of Muslims and protect Islam from Muslims who distort the religion. When Western governments expel extremist preachers, shut down suspicious institutions or pursue religious groups, they are protecting Muslims from extremists among them, and from the anger of the non-Muslim majority. We must not look at such measures as racist, despite the presence of racism in the West. We must also not underestimate the magnitude...

RUSH: From Yahoo Parenting. Headline: "Mom of 8-Year-Old Gay Pride Marcher Responds to Critics -- There was plenty to marvel at during the New York City Pride March on Sunday, but one precocious 8-year-old boy stood out from the crowd: Desmond Napoles, of Brooklyn, who joyously strutted and vogued his way down Fifth Avenue in a rainbow tutu and gold sequined cap. And when critics reared their heads on social media Monday, suggesting his participation was inappropriate, mom Wendylou Napoles shut them down with grace and pride. "'If you are offended, don't look,' Napoles wrote, in part, in a lengthy...

Wen Donald Trump disparaged Mexican immigrants as “rapists” and drug-runners during his presidential announcement speech, the slurs were initially dismissed as just another outrageous pronouncement from the blustery billionaire. But as Latinos reel in anger and celebrities and corporate sponsors drop their associations with Trump, the Republican Party’s other presidential hopefuls face an increasingly uncomfortable choice: engage with Trump and elevate his already high visibility or stay silent and risk appearing to condone his statements. So far, most have said little, hoping the controversy will fade. -snip- Bush, whose wife is Mexican American and who has openly courted Latinos, has...

For Democrats, Donald Trump amounts to a kind of divine intervention. With the Republican Party on an urgent mission to woo Latino voters, one of its leading presidential candidates has been enmeshed for two weeks in a nasty feud over his inflammatory comments about Mexican immigrants. “They’re bringing drugs,” Trump said in his campaign announcement speech. “They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.” The comments — and many more since — have prompted an uproar among Latino groups and a series of acrimonious break-ups between Trump and various corporate partners. His outlandish rhetoric and skill at occupying the national spotlight is also...

Hours after Macy’s abruptly ended its business relationship with Donald Trump, PIX11 News has learned that Trump’s golf course deal with the City of New York involving the much revered Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point is being examined in the fallout of Trump’s controversial remarks regarding Mexicans. Donald Trump’s remarks were disgusting and offensive, and this hateful language has no place...

RUSH: Folks, we're gonna go through it all here today, but everybody's been lying through their teeth about this. Sidney Blumenthal has been essentially the secretary of state. I'm telling you, you know, since the early '90s, I'm trying to rein myself in here. I mean, I just want to launch on this like you can't believe. This woman's stupid! I'm sorry. That's not the way to persuade people. This woman, folks, she's got a 1930s or 1940s political ideology, and her tech capability is 1950s. It is embarrassing. For example, she found out there's a cabinet meeting, except she...
