Great encouraging news in troubled times!

God loves you and wants your best! Be sure you are a Christian based on these four simple Bible truths! 1. Man sinned; 2. God is just, requiring a punishment for sin; 3. But out of love God sent His Son, Jesus Christ who by dying on the cross, provided forgiveness of sins in taking man’s deserved punishment; 4. Therefore, by faith alone in Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and belief in His resurrection, man can gain eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:21-26)

Tired of living in fear? And what about your anger; do you blame others for all the problems today?

That was me. But after I ‘took a chance on Jesus Christ’ my life began to change. Slowly I became more forgiving, and the storms that made up my life began to fade...

Christ promises to ‘put a new heart within us’

Don’t we all want peace?

If you’re sincere, call out to Him...

Didn’t you just post this yesterday?

Why yes, Yes you did.

I don’t care that you’re a Bible thumping pimp. Out to drive hits to your little blog.

But the fact that you are posting FALSE DOCTRINE and won’t admit it is too much.

I too believe now is the time of salvation. Thank you for your reminder to make sure our faith is in nothing less.

Way to go Responsibility2nd.

Known By Your Actions

Proverbs 20:11
Even a child makes himself known by his acts, by whether his conduct is pure and upright.

James 2:14-26
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

John 3:18
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.

James 2:18
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

James 1:22
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

James 2:26
For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

James 1:23-25
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

About a month ago this blogger posted a thread along these same lines. Outlining his erroneous beliefs for salvation. Faith only? What about hearing the Word? What about confessing your sins? Repenting? Baptism?

Hello?

Anyway we had a rather lively thread. Except the blogger. He never showed up to defend his points. He is a typical hit and run poster.

Yes, I think I know which blogger you mean.
It's not so important to me that others don't believe the way I do but to DENIGRATE my faith? No, I don't think so.

I THINK that we Catholics are the only ones with the seven sacraments...one being, of course, Reconciliation, and the BEST ONE, Holy Communion.

We believe that the celebrating priest has the authority, by virtue of HIS Holy Orders, to say the words that change bread and wine into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus.
That's no small thing.

And, if non-Catholics are good practicing Christians, then I wish them all the best. Amen.

Not much else to add, is there?
