About a month ago this blogger posted a thread along these same lines. Outlining his erroneous beliefs for salvation. Faith only? What about hearing the Word? What about confessing your sins? Repenting? Baptism?
Hello?
Anyway we had a rather lively thread. Except the blogger. He never showed up to defend his points. He is a typical hit and run poster.
Yes, I think I know which blogger you mean.
It's not so important to me that others don't believe the way I do but to DENIGRATE my faith? No, I don't think so.
I THINK that we Catholics are the only ones with the seven sacraments...one being, of course, Reconciliation, and the BEST ONE, Holy Communion.
We believe that the celebrating priest has the authority, by virtue of HIS Holy Orders, to say the words that change bread and wine into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus.
That's no small thing.
And, if non-Catholics are good practicing Christians, then I wish them all the best. Amen.
Not much else to add, is there?
