FReepers All: Begging prayers for the brother of a friend, Jamie Miller, who has a very rare and aggressive cancer which is inoperable and has grown through his face and jaw. Eating and speaking are difficult and painful and time is running out.
Jamie, 60, has 9 children, ages 16-30, some of them adopted and some with special needs. Ten years ago, his wife, Renee, was murdered, so he has been sole parent to those kids for 10 years, and they still need him.
As it happens, there is a connection between Jamie and Fr. Emil Kapuan, the most decorated military chaplain in U.S. history, whose cause for canonization is advancing. Servant of God Kapuan needs a miracle for canonization. Please ask Fr. Kapuan's intercession for Jamie. Thank you.

Prayers up ^/\^
Just to let you know, I am on this Novena. Thank you.
Father God,
We are called to remember Jamie Miller in prayer, even as we know he is never forgotten by Your mercy and grace.
We lift him up for Your great healing according to Your plan, dearest Lord, to prosper him and give him hope and a future.
We pray for his children, Lord, that they may be deeply aware of Your Presence with them as they pass through this challenge.
May your peace and mercy abound in, near and through all the family, caregivers and friends,
In Jesus’ name.
Amen!
A beautiful and thoughtful prayer
AMEN!

Oops that was actually Day 7
Oh the irony...

Think of how Our Lord associates us with each other providentially for our well-being and redemption.
This is a great Mystery, this Mystical Body of Christ of Whom you and I are members. I find this is on my mind more and more.
They will know us
not necessarily for our
spelling or grammar or
our eloquent prose nor
our rapier witt
perhaps not even
our deep understanding of scripture but
our great love for each other will
give us away every time.
Thank you for your continued prayers as
you are always in ours
God Bless

Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer.
Lord Jesus Christ our Healer and Savior, restore the health of Thy servant Jamie.
With Father Emil Kaupan, Servant of God, we pray to Thee, amen.
[Recite one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.]
This is the last day of the Novena.
Thank you for praying this Novena (from novem, nine, a nine days’ private or public devotion.) for Jamie and his family with us.

Thanks for putting me on this temporary ping list. I have been praying with you all.
UPDATE
from Jamie Miller's sister, Jeanne Miller Gaetano:
You are so kind. Physically Jamie is decking steadily and rapidly. The tumor has distorted his face, curled his lips around and is growing out of his mouth. It is horribly disfiguring and painful.
But he does not complain. He is kind to everyone. Two of my boys were with him over the weekend and he asked about them their families and children and homes and jobs. I am awe. Every sick person I have ever known has gone on and on about his illness and been understandably totally consumed with what was happening to him.
Jamie has spoken of God as he never has in his life. Sadly after our parents separated there was little to no religious instruction or practice.
I feel spiritual miracles are taking place. Please keep praying.

Thank you for that update.
I will keep praying.
Prayers up.
Your welcome,
It is terribly sad and
beautiful at the same time.
I know how prayer and
especially the prayers of others
have strengthened me just enough
to endure when I was at my lowest.
What Jamie is doing is beyond words.
He is a pillar of strength and courage
in the face of such suffering.
May we all be so brave not just in
adversity but even in the everyday challenges
as an honor to Jamie and those that
have shown us what it is to
truly live out their faith.

Prayers for Jamie and Family lifted again.
