For Christians: What Does the Bible New Testament Say About Getting Tattoos?
Brutal statement. However, I have found that to be mostly true. Not all of them (with tattoos) are bad people but they are definitely towards the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder and not likely to advance very far.
Most professional companies will not hire somebody with visible tattoos. That may change over time as so many young people are getting them but for now, it's still a barrier to upward mobility.
Personally, I see nothing appealing about tattoos whatsoever. They do absolutely nothing positive for one's personal appearance. Except maybe Popeye the Sailor Man.
When women get them, I think it's so tragic. It just makes them look skanky and unattractive. It is like having a beautiful shiny car and then intentionally taking a sharp object and scraping out a huge scratch across the side of it.
Why?
Lol!
It looks like graffiti to me.
my husband hates tattoos on women, so i don’t have any.
Next up: They explain why it’s OK to participate in homosexual orgies.
This is majoring in the minors. Let’s talk heart change and living out that change.
Neil Bootz said it: You see a really beauitiful one almost like a dream and the you say to yourself: “If only she had a tattoo.” SAID NO ONE EVER!!!
GEICO had a pretty funny commercial along these lines.
I guess I’m doomed with my NOTW and Celtic Trinity....that and one of the dogs is half pit.....
I'll bet that you handle snakes and yell at trick-or-treaters.
LOL
“If youre looking for Book, Chapter, Verse on getting/not getting a tattoo, then forget it.”
Actually Leviticus 19:28
“Well when someone is opposed to something personally, they usually use the it doesnt glorify God argument to try and turn their personal opposition into a religious argument. “
I see this stuff all the time. It’s people who want the culture and everyone around them to act according to their own liking. Most of it has nothing to do with Biblical doctrine but instead doctrines of their own.
I agree with this. Having been around people who routinely get tats most of my life I made one promise to myself concerning tats. I had to be 100% sure I would like it as much in 5 years as I do the day I wanted one. To this day I still haven't found one that I would be that sure about in just 5 years let alone the rest of my life.
I loathe tattoos, but don’t think scripture condemns it as done in modern society.
I went to the optometrist last week. Very nice looking young lady, late 20s early 30s. As we talked I noticed Roman numeral tats on her arm, mid forearm down were sleeveless, and ring tattoos under her rings. Tats around her wrists. This girl was covered. She was a natural beauty, but with that ink creeping out, my hetero drive did not kick into the Id like to see her naked mode like it normally would. Actually the I wonder what weird tats she has idea did pop up!
Besides being un-biblical, many tattoos cause skin infections and worse, later in life. My favorite ER nurse has told me so.
You sound like a Democrat lefty.
are egyptian hieroglyphs considered witchcraft, idolatry or pagan symbolism ??
