Jesus Took Your Sicknesses And Diseases

When you are trying to receive your healing it is important that you start off on the right foundation. And a lot of times people approach healing from the place of thinking it's a matter of trying to get God to do something when in reality it's a matter of you receiving what Jesus has already done for you. Well, what did Jesus do for you? Isaiah 53:4,5 Surely he hath borne(carried away) our griefs(diseases and sicknesses) and carried(bear, carry) our sorrows(anquish, afflictions). Notice, it says Jesus carried our sicknesses and diseases. And in verse 5 it says, "And with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah is looking ahead to the cross and 1Peter 2:24 is looking back at the cross and says, "By whose stripes ye were healed." So, heaven has it recorded that your healing has already been done.

Now, you might have an issue in your flesh, but that does not mean God needs to do something. In Genesis 17:5 God told Abraham, "Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee." God told Abraham that he had made him the father of many nations even though in Romans 4:19 it says, that Abraham considered not the deadness of his body neither the deadness of Sarah's womb. So, inspite of their bodies having a condition contrary to what God said he had done God still said it was already a done deal. Notice, what God told him to do no longer call yourself Abram(high father) but Abraham(father of a multitude). Notice, Abraham was not to keep asking God, but come into agreement with God in faith. Because, you don't keep asking God to do what he said is done you agree inspite of the physical conditions.

Just as God said he made Abraham the father of many nations even though his body was dead and so was her womb he said you were healed inspite of the issues you might have in your flesh. Now, you have to speak in line with that as did Abraham. So, everytime you say you have so and so you deny what Jesus did for you, because the scripture says he took your sicknesses and diseases. To understand how that could be back in Leviticus 16:21,22 God established that there was to be a scapegoat offering, God established that when Aaron laid his hands upon the head of the scapegoat and confessed the sins of Israel that goat would bear the sins of the people. So likwise, remember in Isaiah 53:4 Isaiah under the anointing of the Holy Ghost established that Jesus would bear our sicknesses and diseases. So, as sure as that goat bore the sins of Israel Jesus bore our sicknesses and diseases.

So, because God declared that Jesus would bear our sicknesses and diseases all sickness and disease is illegal in our body. God is satisfied with the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins. In John 1:29 John when he saw Jesus coming said, "Behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world." So, Jesus took upon himself all of man's sin. And when he took man's sin all of man's sicknesses and diseases went with them, because sickness is the result of sin. Not our sin, but Adam's sin. By Jesus taking away man's sins he freed him from sickness. Because if there was no sin there would be no sickness and since he bore our sins then he also bore our sicknesses. You see an example of that in Numbers 16:41-50 when the congregation of the children of Israel murmured(sin) against Moses and Aaron a plague(sickness) came upon the people. Moses told Aaron to take a censer to make an atonement for the people and when he did the plague stayed(meaning stopped). Notice, when he atoned for their sin the sickness stopped.

That's because the root of all sickness is spiritual (sin). That's why in the scriptures where you see forgiveness you see healing, because it's a package deal. In Psalm 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. In Isaiah 33:24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. In 1Peter 2:24 who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree...by whose stripes ye were healed. Let me give you an example you can easily understand, if you hold a match under your hand what will be the result, heat. That flame is the source of the heat. To take the heat away you have to take the source away first. That's what Jesus did he took the source of sickness away sin John 1:29. Sin is spiritual for sin is an act of the spirit of man (Mark 7:21-23). So, what Jesus did for you is spiritual right now. Just like when God told Abraham "I have made thee a father of many nations" God was reporting the spiritual view. Just as he is when he says, "By whose stripes ye were healed".

Notice in 1Corinthians 11:29,30 it says, For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep(have died). Notice Paul said that many are weak, sickly, and many have died because of not discerning the Lord's body. When you don't know that Jesus beaten body was used to bring healing to you and that by the stripes he took on his body for you there is healing available waiting on you to receive then you don't receive what Jesus has done for you. The bread in The Lords Supper or Communion represents the healing his beaten body bought you. And when you don't discern what his body has done for you, for that reason many are weak, sickly and have died. Now, we know that the Passover Lamb in Exodus 12 represents Jesus and when they ate that lamb everyone that was sick was healed (Psalm 105:37). That's why 1Corinthians 5:7 calls Jesus our passover. God is all about healing.

In Luke 15 the parable of the prodigal son, it says in verse 12 the youngest son said to his father to give him the portion of goods that falleth to him. And the father divided unto them his living. And not many days later the younger son gathered his things and left and wasted all that he had. And after a famine came where he was he went back home to his father. And when his father saw him he went and hugged him and welcomed him back. And he called for them to have a party for him and when the older son came in from the field and heard music and dancing and heard the party was for younger brother he was angry and would not go inside. So, his father came out and intreated him. Notice verses 29-31, And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid that I might make merry with my friends: 30. But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. Notice, what he said you wouldn't give me, he's waiting on the father to give him something that the father already considered his. It was just a matter of him receiving because in verse 12 it says the father divided his living among them. So, all he had to do is go get, but he's waiting on it to be given. And a lot of times people are waiting for God to do something instead of them receiving what has been done. Receive the finished works of Jesus including your healing.

I have studied that and I disagree. The empirical data is overwhelming to the contrary. If you recall , the thief DIED. We are absolutely not shielded from trouble or sickness or anything else. Christ died for our sins, Nothing else.

If this was true, no one would ever die.

Even Jesus died.

This is Benny Hinn teachings. We die because it is ordained. We get sick because we are fallen and we live in a fallen world.

Your gospel is false.

Sin brought disease and pain. Jesus lifts our burdens. Life is not fair and cannot be made so. God cares that we glorify Him. God knows we live in a fallen world until death. Our bodies are frail, by design. Sickness and disease come to all who live long enough. Death comes to all. Many die from disease and this, in no way, shows they are not with God or are not worthy through Christ. Being alive in Christ has nothing to do with disease or sickness.

According to Frank, Jesus died because he did not have enough faith in God.

Good point. Those kidney stones? They didn’t exist. I was just rolling on the floor in pain because it hurt too bad for me to “receive” the healing of Jesus...

:>(

And my christian friend who died at 85 of cancer? If only he was as full of faith as you! He didn’t need to die. He could have waited around until a car hit him on his 231st birthday.

[We are absolutely not shielded from trouble or sickness or anything else. Christ died for our sins, Nothing else.]

JESUS promises that He will see us through.

Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

God never said the rivers wouldn’t rise or the flames of the fire blaze. What He did promise is that He would be with you through it all protecting and guiding you. God’s plans for you are eternal plans, not temporary. He’s in it with you for the long haul and He will see you through until you are standing face to face with Him in heaven.

Also, GOD is still in the miracle business. I know from experience.

When Paul begged for healing Jesus answered “my Grace is sufficient” notice He didn’t say you are already healed what is wrong with your faith. He said His grace is sufficient to sustain us through illness and trials. This Gospel you preach is treacherous. Instead of giving hope to the suffering it condemns them for insufficient faith. How awful

[[I was just rolling on the floor in pain because it hurt too bad for me to “receive” the healing of Jesus...]]

I can relate- Due to a condition i have i used to get between 40 and 60 a year (MOST went through with little to no pain- but several per year were absolutely excruciating- 8-16 hours of extreme pain, puking, blacking out in some cases from the pain-

I learned that Salt from things like potato chips, pretzels, crackers was causing a great number of them to form- I used to be a big snack person- until it dawned on me that they were creating more stones- for some reason- ordinary table salt doesn’t create stones- just the finer salts that they use for thins like chips and crackers- Even if i eat only say a handfull of chips within 2 days I’ll be passing a stone- As long as i stay away from salty snacks, I can go quite a few months without a stone- but EVERYTIME I eat salty snacks- stones happen

There is no data to support your hypothesis . If you believe the Jews are the chosen people, where was Jesus on the “ 6 million”?

That’s just stupid. You are like the councilors to Job. Just stupid. Last time I checked everyone dies. Eventually. The idea is what you do with your life. Your short, pointless, painful, meaningless statistical blip of a life. Oh man under the sun all is vanity.

Now take that bitter truth and face it. Then find meaning in something bigger and more important. God. Christ your redeemer. But you won’t find it here on this rock speeding through a vacuum. Here you will find long periods of frustration, grief and lack of purchase interrupted only rarely by moments to cherish. Cherish these moments for as long as short brutish life lasts. The hope of man is not here. It is later. Don’t feed false hope to the masses. Shoot straight and cherish good times but know good times here are short fleeting and meaningless. Live like that and you will be free.

I get the sense that either you tried to mislead or others failed to recognize the "parable-ness" of the stories.....When Stephen was stoned to death, the phrase used is that he "fell asleep" because he had been granted eternal life even as his body perished....

Sometimes some extra info is a good thing....

Outstanding teaching, and so very true. We are like Adam - we blame God for our failings (”this woman you gave me”) rather than ourselves and our failure to believe the magnificence of this Gospel. We generally don’t want the responsibility to really believe.

For if God is “all in”, and has indeed provided for our healing, then we must be “all in”, and that is TOO MUCH for us. We still want to remain on the throne of our lives and that option would now be taken from us. If He is not holding back, then neither can we, and we want to hold back, unfortunately, whether it’s our finances or our sex life. And so, “it will be done for you as you have believed”, as Jesus told the centurion.

He has provided for the salvation for all, but few are saved, because their pride prevents their receiving. Likewise, of all who are saved, in the same manner, He has provided for their healing, but few are healed, for the same reason - pride in a refusal to receive the Lord as God here, in this life, preferring His reign to start only in heaven.

One can see from the ugliness of the responses to the post that a nerve has been struck. Be encouraged...

The entire world is out of order.

There’s a much broader narrative of rectification that involves unpleasantness and death, regardless of the individual faith of the afflicted.

The faith is in seeing and knowing this and carrying on regardless of what the circumstances look like on the surface. The man who was born blind wasn’t blind because he or his parents sinned, but rather that the works of God be manifested in him.

Rachel died in childbirth. There was a reason for that terrible event that is only now coming around and making sense full circle, 3570 years later.

The Patriarchs and Matriarchs took the long view. Not that it is wrong to pray for and desire healing, and use sickness for introspection, spiritual growth and insight, but there just might be something we humans don’t know re the grander picture of a much more incredible and powerful restoration and repair.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Besides, if noone needed healing, Jesus would be out of a job and would have to close his clinic.

Then why are people sick and why do people who get prayed for and anointed according to Scripture not get healed?

Fine sounding theory but since people who seek healing as still sick, you need to explain why this doesn’t always work.

Salt is a factor in mr. mm’s stones.

He’s on a sodium restricted diet.

I guess he didn’t have enough faith to be healed either.

Or maybe he had sin in his life.

Something to blame the victim when someone else’s theology doesn’t work out.

No, no nerve has been struck.

Your faulty theology is the problem.

If salvation is by faith and in the same way if healing is by faith, then anyone with enough faith to get saved has enough faith to be healed.

So all those who call themsleves believers, if they are not healed because they don't have enough faith, then how do they know they are truly saved? After all, if salvation and faith are dependent on the same thing, faith, and the person claiming to believe doesn't get healed, then they clearly don't have enough faith to be saved. In that case, they are just deluding themselves, right?

So what you're saying is that only those who have been healed, from everything all the time, are truly saved because they are the only ones to have enough faith to access both the healing and salvation, which you guys claim are part and parcel of each other.
