Walnut Creek, California

February 14, 2018

Dr. Haywood Robinson (at left above), a member of the 40 Days for Life board of directors, helped kick off Walnut Creek’s fourth campaign.

Joining him at the kickoff was Rev. Walter Hoye of the Issues 4 Life Foundation.

“Dr. Robinson and Rev. Hoye got our vigil off to a great start,” the Walnut Creek team reported. “Because they are willing to share their stories … people have been motivated to work for the protection of life, all in the love of Christ.”

Cincinnati, Ohio

February 14, 2018

The 40 Days for Life campaign got off to a rather chilly start outside the Planned Parenthood abortion center in Cincinnati.

“Even on a freezing cold day the faithful showed up to wrap this horrible site in deep prayer,” said one of the Cincinnati leaders.

“We pray for all staff, all victims and anyone impacted from the tragedy of abortion.” This is the 20th campaign in Cincinnati.

‘It is because of your prayers that God has provided so many blessings:
13,998 lives have been saved from abortion...’

does this not beg the question why God did not provide blessings for the millions of others who have been destroyed...?

The lessons I have learned.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy,” Jesus says in John 10:10. “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

So what is being said here is that the thief might not be satan but anybody who comes to steal and kill and destroy; Right?

I’ve always heard it was Satan. People would say “why did God do this, or Why does God do that? Why does God let this happen? Why?

It’s because the prince in the world (being satan) and has Authority in the system called the world - If You Let It Be So.

Believers in Christ Jesus have had the authority to stop Satan. When Jesus died, He defeated Satan and He gave us the authority through the Holy Spirit to have power and dominion over the evil one. prayer works but only speaking the word can protect. The FAITH is lacking. Talking the talk without walking the walking doesn’t work either. We are all guilty of that.

Pray for forgiveness of the actions and thoughts that have made the individual and the nation unclean. His Grace will be upon these efforts.

“SIN NO MORE!” How can that be? We are carnel. We must continually ask for redemption. Does that makes us hypocrites and unworthy? Yes! But every beleiver must fight to overcome.

I know a few overcomers. Even they slip! Worldly influences make overcoming extremely difficult. Technology cuts both ways.

There must be untold millions of innocents in heaven... and those who have harmed any of them, have hell to pay for it.

DAY 2: Planned Parenthood’s new abortion

February 15, 2018

Planned Parenthood equals abortion. As they go, so goes the abortion industry.

Of the 354 locations where 40 Days for Life campaigns are under way … prayer vigils are taking place outside 134 Planned Parenthood offices.

Planned Parenthood is closing facilities at a record pace, but they are currently trying to expand their 320,000 abortions per year with a new and dangerous procedure – telemed abortions.

In this highly unregulated procedure, a physician in one city “examines” a client in another city over the internet.

After a brief webcam interview, the client takes the first of two pills in the RU-486 abortion regimen. She is then sent away with the second pill, which she takes at home. Often alone. And that’s where her abortion actually takes place … without any medical supervision.

This “service” may be on its way to Planned Parenthood centers that do not currently offer abortions – maybe even one in your city. Get the inside information on this abortion procedure from former Planned Parenthood manager Sue Thayer on this 40 Days for Life podcast episode.

Whether there’s a Planned Parenthood office in your community – or an independent abortion facility or a hospital where abortions take place – your prayers are crucial.

It’s time to join the closest 40 Days for Life campaign!

Little Rock, Arkansas

February 15, 2018

“Cold weather – it’s not just for northern campaigns!”

Steve Karlen, 40 Days for Life’s North American campaign director, was on hand for “the strongest kickoff event in Little Rock in years.” By the end of the kickoff, Steve said it was rainy and in the 30s.

A teenage praise and worship group provided music … and a Catholic priest and Protestant pastor offered prayer as Little Rock’s 13th campaign got rolling.

“This group prays throughout the year,” Steve said. “On Friday, four mothers chose life – two of them already had money down for their appointments. This news was shared at the rally as encouragement for people to come out and make a difference during the campaign.”

Flint, Michigan

February 15, 2018

“You just never know how great the power of God is!”

It had snowed for three days and schools had closed. “Looking out the window about an hour before the kickoff, I was doubtful that anyone, even my team, would make it,” said Sarah, the local leader in Flint.

Some of the volunteers were snowed in and couldn’t get out of their neighborhoods. But when it came time for the kickoff, “to my surprise we had 26 people who braved over 14 inches of snow to come to our event!”

There was one concession to the weather, however. The kickoff was held inside. But with dedication like that, it should be an awesome campaign in Flint!

DAY 3: Fake news in Great Britain

February 16, 2018

Harassment. Intimidation. Provocation.

That’s how the British media has labeled your vigil presence in their headline news. The only problem is … none of it is true!

One British paper quoted a spokesman for the BPAS abortion center in Portsmouth: “They pray loudly and force leaflets upon people. I felt uncomfortable, angry, and safety-conscious.”

A BPAS staff member in Doncaster told another media outlet, “It was provocative and intimidating.”

The photo above, from 40 Days for Life in Norwich, England, is a fairly typical scene. A picture is worth a thousand talking points.

Don’t these people look scary to you? Especially the signs offering free help 🙂

The abortion industry in Britain – and elsewhere, frankly – just wants you to go home … because 40 Days for Life is working.

Right now, England, Canada and Scotland are trying to destroy freedom of speech – and silence even the quietest pro-life whisper. We cover their efforts in this 40 Days for Life podcast episode: “Aborting Free Speech.”

Of course, Christ told us to expect this – that we would be falsely accused of all sorts of evil when acting in His name.

So just keep praying! Lives are at stake! As the Lord said, “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven” (Matthew 5:12).

Hempstead, New York

February 16, 2018

Around 85 faithful volunteers – including members of Pro Bikers for Life – helped launch the 40 Days for Life campaign outside Planned Parenthood in Hempstead.

Michael, the local campaign coordinator, called it a “great day.”

After gathering at a local church, where the bikers gave a moving talk and showed a video about their involvement in previous 40 Days for Life vigils, the group processed to Planned Parenthood and prayed there for more than an hour.

Subotica, Serbia

February 16, 2018

As the 40 Days for Life vigil started in Subotica, the campaign’s spiritual advisor asked God’s blessing on all the volunteers.

The volunteers, in turn, wanted to extend that blessing “to all passers-by, to all hospital staff – and to the whole city!”

One of the Subotica leaders said if you want to do something for the Lord this Lent, “come and join us for an hour for the right cause. This is time that God has given us, and we will it use wisely. We are waiting for you!”

DAY 4: 354 cities … 25 countries

February 17, 2018

After we launched 40 Days for Life nationally in 2007 … the world came knocking.

This campaign, we welcome three new countries … and they’re on three different continents:

Faithful Christians are holding vigils in these countries, that are very far apart, for a simple reason: the abortion crisis is global.

Abortion is the leading cause of death in the world … with an estimated 56 million happening every year.

While the crisis is global … so is the solution: Prayer.

From now until March 25, this 40 Days for Life campaign is taking place in 25 countries around the world …

… and if you’re in a place where the weather is very cold right now, enjoy some 40 Days for Life pictures from places where it’s warmer!

Perth, Australia

February 17, 2018

The 40 Days for Life campaign is back in Perth for a seventh Lenten vigil.

Jo, the Perth coordinator, gave a shout out to Bob, one of their most determined volunteers, who had been praying at the vigil “for five hours in 42-degree heat.” That’s 42 degrees Celsius – 107 degrees Fahrenheit.

“I can’t believe his stamina and am amazed at his faithfulness every single week,” she said.

“Please come and pray,” Jo asked. The abortion facility “never ceases to stop, unfortunately. So neither should we!”

I am always struck by the happiness that shines through on the faces of these “pro-life” people vs the anger projected on faces of so many “pro-choice” people.

Christchurch, New Zealand

February 17, 2018

The volunteers in Christchurch have started their fourth 40 Days for Life campaign with great enthusiasm.

“And what a huge success it was,” said one of the team members. “We had honking with cheering and waving … and we have definitely begun to pique the curiosity of our Christchurch community!”

The vigil in Christchurch is held outside a hospital where abortions take place. “It is a truly humbling experience to be praying for our most vulnerable and contributing to a culture of life in our society.”
