How Will The Media and Governments of the world explain The Rapture?
Billy Graham Evangelistic Association et al. ^ | June 19, 2017 | RightTackle 44

Posted on 06/19/2017 10:24:21 PM PDT by righttackle44

If and when the Rapture of the Church occurs and Christians are spirited off the face of the earth to Heaven, how will the secular governments and media explain the phenomenon? Millions of people will suddenly be gone from the societies and populations of the earth. Many who thought or said that they were Christians, will still be here.

No born-again Christians will be here.

The Billy Graham article is cited to provide information.

I’m not certain myself when it will occur and don’t want to debate the matter, but I trust in scripture that it will occur. From the sound of things, it’ll be a literal Godsend to be taken out of the world in that state, but I’ve tried to be mentally prepared for persecution and possible martyrdom if it comes to that. So, I try to be ready either way.

Before the rapture, there will be a severe persecution of Christians. That persecution will drastically reduce the Christian population. When the rapture occurs, the world won’t notice. And those who notice will be like those who wanted to kill Lazarus after Jesus raised him from the dead.

You are jumping around on the discussion here. You suggested that Rapturists might see the need to insert seven years after the 6th Trumpet. Balderdash. You suggest with this post that the topic was the AntiChrist.

Do you suffer from compartmentalization of the mind? Rapture doctrine is full of holes... and IF those adherents knew who the anti-Christ literally is, they would NOT need an escape hatch. The 'rapture doctrine' was born out of the ignorance of not knowing just who is the anti-Christ.

Paul knew who the 'anti-Christ is. Check out what Paul said was one of his major concerns ...

II Corinthians 11:2 ... Paul knew what happened at the Garden Party, and He feared a repeat performance ... a wedding out of season..

11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Christ shortened the 'time' of Daniel's prophecy for the elect sake. No need to fly away to save souls.

Were Enoch and Elijah 'born again'? I thought that was a prerequisite for the rapture journey?

But don't forget the next verse, 14:5: "the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee."

Here’s a bit of help from the Pre-Trib Research Center:

The Term “Rapture”
First of all, the word “rapture” is found in the Bible, if you have the Latin Vulgate produced by Jerome in the early 400s. The Vulgate was the main Bible of the medieval Western Church until the Reformation. It continues to this day as the primary Latin translation of the Roman Catholic Church. Yet, as we shall see later, it was Protestants who introduced the word “rapture” into the English language from the Latin raeptius.[1] It was Jerome’s Vulgate that translated the original Greek verb harpazo used by Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, in 1 Thessalonians 4:17,

Explain the 144,000

I believe they went with Christ when he was resurrected.

Hosea 6:2
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

saiah 26:19
Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Revelation 20:5
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Rev 14:3
And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

This present life is like a Boot Camp, preparing us for Eternity with God.

While going through Parris Island Boot Camp, we all longed for graduation.

While there were some fun times in Vietnam, we all longed for home.

Anyone with a lick of sense realizes that this world, no matter what the delights and genuine pleasures & rewards, pales in comparison to being with Jesus in Eternity.

1 John 2:15-17 J.B. Phillips New Testament
See “the world” for what it is

15-17 Never give your hearts to this world or to any of the things in it. A man cannot love the Father and love the world at the same time. For the whole world-system, based as it is on men’s primitive desires, their greedy ambitions and the glamour of all that they think splendid, is not derived from the Father at all, but from the world itself. The world and all its passionate desires will one day disappear. But the man who is following God’s will is part of the permanent and cannot die.

Resurection theme is all over the tenackh and apostle’s bible.
Most poeple don’t know where to look or identify.
For those who believe, have you considered how many will make the grade? Reports say 7 billion people on earth. 1 percent of people resurected would be 100 million worldwide
1 percent america people would be 3 million. My guess is about that many will be removed for 7 years, then back to the semi destoryed planet for renewal process and balance of 1000 years. Most people who read this won’t make the grade but that not for me to decide.

safrguns, you are very close, It will be as the days of noah,
they entered the arc and the rain (destruction) fell upon the earth 8 days later.
People will reach to the resurection jush how Hashem says:
Isiah 57-1,2. (not many people on earth will realize)
also, noah was 600 years old when the flood came, that means in the 6000th year of the earth these men will enter G-ds chambers for the marriage ceremony

>>> The Great Sign of the Woman (Revelation 12:1-2) appears on September 23, 2017 exactly at sunset in Jerusalem - exactly at the end of Rosh Ha Shanah, exactly at the time of the blowing of “the last trump.”

I am with you on this... the Rev 12 sign happens to be (reportedly) the highest trending topic on the internet.

I think i can do you one even better... and I got this from a series of videos on this particular “SPECULATION”... but it’s a very interesting one....

Sept 9-13 is when Jupiter actually starts it’s exit from the womb of Virgo... and according to the rev 12 sign, the great or red dragon appears as if to devour the child as it is born.... and its tail swept a third of the stars down to earth....

Now... we have heavenly bodies represented by the Rev12 sign that we know about in the 2 constellations, the moon sun and other planets that will form the picture described on Sept 27th... but we DONT know about this red dragon thing... or do we?

The video series I watched basically linked the Rev 12 sign with the prophecy given by God in Genesis about the seed of the woman crushing Satan’s head and Satan bruising His heel.

In a nutshell, this video SPECULATES that we will see a collision between Jupiter and Nibiru during that 2nd week in September. They further substantiate the claim by using mathematical models to forcast that IF something DID hit Jupiter, it would take approximately 2.5 to 3.5 years for the debri from that collision to intersect with earth’s orbit.

They also made note of comet Shoemaker... Remember that one?

Comet Shoemaker (aptly named) if you remember broke up into like 24 peices in 2009 (I think) and collided with the bottom segment of Jupiter effectively drawing a dotted line around the bottom of the planet.

Now... if you are not a believer in Nibiru (or planet x or whatever), keep this in mind... The bible speaks about the sun going dark for THREE HOURS when Jesus was crucified.
The MAXIMUM time that the moon can possibly eclipse any part of the earth is just over 7 minutes. It would take a heavenly body at least 4-6 times the size of the earth to cause an eclipse that lasted that long.... and if you have seen pictures of this red dwarf out there that Google sky and NASA has been blocking from view sites, it DOES look like a red dragon.

For those of us looking for signs from God... I really don’t see how He can do any better than this.

Why should we consider the Rev. 12 prophecy using Astrology symbols? Isn’t the woman with 12 stars actually Israel with the 12 tribes? doesn’t it indicate she produced Jesus in verse 5, or is there another King?

If there was a red dwarf approaching earth, why is it not visible yet? For instance, Proxima Centauri is the closest star at 4.24 light years. The farthest away star we can see with our eye is V762 Cas in Cassiopeia at 16,308 light years. How could it travel fast enough to get here without us seeing it from a long ways off?

Thank you for the analysis you shared. How fascinating! I come from a church in which the Rapture is not foremost in the eschatology of their belief system. I have a number of family members who do subscribe to it, so it is a topic of interest.

All I have felt led to be concerned with is to be sure I have a sure and certain walk with the Lord, and I know that however He announces His 2nd Coming, all will be well with my soul! I wish the same for all who love Him.

Bear with me please and consider the Lord’s judgement when he wiped out the Earth, but saved Noah and his family.

...

Jesus refers to these two exact events while describing the time of his coming (in the clouds for His Church). He always removes His people before Judgement.

Noah and family in the arc is described as a baptism, which is to say, a symbolic judgment ordeal. They were carried safely through judgment.

All those who confess Jesus is lord and believe it will be saved. Everything else is just garnish. That is all it takes according to the Bible.

The pre-tribulation rapture is 100% false cherry picking nonsense.

God didn’t pluck Noah and his family away. He made them weather the storm. Nor those in Sodom and Gomorrah, or Egypt.

You think that we are nearing the end of the tribulation?

That Jesus is coming back this year?

Major prophecies have not been fulfilled.

Today, the “Reformed” believe that God is through with Israel and views the Church as its replacement (i.e. Replacement theology).

We do not believe what you say we believe.

I see this argument frequently. This is all true, but is quite beside the point. It's a smokescreen, to avoid the real question: is the dispensational conception of the taking up, aka "rapture", of the church supported by scripture?
