Mexicans who help build President Donald Trumps planned border wall would be acting immorally and should be deemed traitors, the Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico said on Sunday, turning up the heat on a simmering dispute over the project.
In a provocative editorial, the countrys biggest Archdiocese sought to increase pressure on the government to take a tougher line on companies aiming to profit from the wall, which has strained relations between Trump and the Mexican government.
Any company intending to invest in the wall of the fanatic Trump would be immoral, but above all, its shareholders and owners should be considered traitors to the homeland, said the editorial in Desde la fe, the Archdioceses weekly publication....

That’s why I finished with the catholic church. Once my youngest receives her confirmation I’m done. I’ll talk to god on my own.
Indeed!
Render onto Caesar what is Ceasar’s.
A lesson lost on the Catholic Church.
Just another NGO at the pig trough.
And, you condemn me, I didn’t 12 years of Catholic school. 4 Catholic/JROTC. I don’t recognize this church.
If an illegal is caught coming across the border put them to work building the wall..
It’d be built in weeks...
It would be cheap too..
Point granted, though old practices in a legacy congregation are kind of hard to break.
It would be kind of like the Presbyterian church (say) thinking that it deserved to speak for the USA. Hey, Donald Trump went to us!
A church doesn’t get to speak for a country which is an entity that has no Christian obligations except by choice. Sorry if I was clumsy about explaining why.
If you think Ted Kennedy intended to enable an invasion by Mexicans in order to bolster the institutional power of the Catholic Church, you’re wrong -— risibly wrong. Heck, he did all he could to undermine Catholic power in freakin’ Boston. He did nothing for the Church even in Massachusetts, let alone “from sea to shining sea.”
I have never understood why Ted was given resplendent funerary honors which reeked almost of canonization, when at every turn, by every means at hand, he betrayed the Catholic Church, her Faith and morals, her people, her institutions, and her mission.
So Jesus did not build a church? The Jesus in the Bible did.
Or maybe He did but it was so useless He decided to ditch it? That’s how He treats His bride?
A sound understanding of Catholic history shows the urgent importance of praying and sacrificing for the rescue of Holy Mother the Church, and not abandoning her.
There is a huge difference and distinction between the very secular institutional interests of the Roman Catholic Church and any interests it has as far as matters of faith. They has not changed from Roman Empire times.
Do you know any different?
I guess I wasn’t blunt enough. Had I been I would have made sure ONE of the distinctions between the Roman Catholic Church as an institution and the faith of those within it is the very secular POLITICAL interests of the Roman Catholic Church. THAT, as far as what Teddy Kennedy did, is something his immigration law and what it served WAS doing, as all the actions of Roman Catholic officials make clear all the time.
Americans, just doing the jobs mexicans won’t do.
My contention is yes: Kennedy’s intention was to benefit the Democratic Party, in league with the USCCB and the Vatican.
