If you pass the muster here youll go to heaven, if not, better to get ready for a long hot decent into Hell!?
So if you score enough points to get into Heaven, you're good. How many points does it take?

Heh .. Buddy Christ.
You know, aside from gross idolatry described in Romans 1, I think the truth that is suppressed is God’s Holiness, that He is “Holy, Holy, Holy”.
Which is to say I’ve long contrasted those in this passage in Romans 1 with Isaiah at his commissioning ... so that those who will not repent are the polar opposites to Isaiah.
If I were to guess at the one thing that makes reprobate so very reprobate is that, believing their poo don’t stink (in Isaiah-like speak they’re “good folks out of a people of hep cats”), they basically think they will be found right though God be made out a liar. Those with a reprobate mind think they have nothing to repent of and thus no need for some coal from the altar.
Scripture says God doesn’t change.
A reprobate say to God that it won’t change,
It won’t end well.

Ugh. They’re not really about worshipping Christ. They’re about affirming and celebrating sin.

“Last month it was the Anglicans who chose to ‘queer the liturgy’ of evening prayer in honor LGTB history month by renaming the Holy Spirit ‘The Fantabulosa Fairy’ and God the Father became ‘the Dutchess’.”
This can’t be serious.
They are just parodying Christianity, nothing more.

I did the same thing the first time I saw it. I felt bad, but I didn’t know about Ash Wednesday.

It’s more than a parody of Christianity. That’s blasphemy.
To: Yaelle
Don’t feel bad it’s happened to every Catholic and we all know it’s an innocent mistake.

.

"Should a Christian observe Ash Wednesday? Since the Bible nowhere explicitly commands or condemns such a practice, Christians are at liberty to prayerfully decide whether or not to observe Ash Wednesday."
Absolutely incorrect.
"Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly."

I think the Gospel reading at mass this morning pretty much spoke to the
Lord's thoughts on this type of behavior: Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18

I don’t see how high-church Christians miss this clear instruction.
