Federal Court: Christian Pregnancy Centers Must Tell Patients Where They Can Get Abortions

A federal court just ruled that pregnancy centers have to tell their patients where they can get publicly-funded contraception and an abortion—even if it violates their religious beliefs.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today that California law AB 775, which compels Christian, pro-life pregnancy centers to advocate for abortion, doesn’t impede their First Amendment right to exercise their religious beliefs.

The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, a faith-based pro-life group with 111 clinics in California, has been embroiled in lawsuit against California Attorney General Kamala Harris for a year since the bill was signed into law last October.

Harris, who is currently running for Senate, supports the law and has financial ties with the nation’s largest abortion provider.

Notice the correlation with suicide: it’s better to off yourself, right?

I wish the 9th Circus would off themselves.

I’d go to jail before I would give in to this travesty! Any woman can open a phone book or look up online to find that information. Mandating that prolife centers provide it is ridiculous and goes against what they are there to do - be the ALTERNATIVE to abortion.

Will all the abortion providers also be mandated to provide their clients information on where they can get free pregnancy tests, prolife counseling, resources to help in the choice FOR life, adoption services, help for the after effects of their abortion decision, etc.?

We need to have Mr. Trump nominating judges for at least the next 4 years.

Bull shit— You cannot tell anybody what to say!!

Laws do it all the time.

Drug ads must disclose drug side effects. Celebrities acting as TV pitch men have to say that they are being paid to promote the products. Most states have laws compelling doctors to tell women information about their baby before they can perform an abortion. Political ads have to say whether they are endorsed by the candidate. TV used to have a "fairness doctrine" which was repealed by Congress, but its constitutionality was upheld by the Supreme Court.

I could give you 100 examples.

Nobody tells me what to say. In the commercial safety area you can require disclosures by sellers for public policy safety but you can’t force political speech. Nope.

Remember that SCOTUS is the issue in this election. Not only SCOTUS but a lot of other judges will be appointed by the next POTUS.
