I slipped on an ice patch in my own back yard and landed on my left ankle. Please say a prayer for healing

I have an important conference in Texas next week..."Your comment broke me up. I have vague memories of once telling a doc in the ER "I'm supposed to be at a meeting in Texas in three days. I'll be ready to go then, right? Of course I was still in the hospital a week later. LOL
Fortunately I had the presence of mind to tell him that I had a very low pain tolerance. That worked out well.
Good luck and remember to do your physical therapy.

Yep, I had to go back and check but that was well after they gave me the morphine so I was feeling pretty optimistic.

I’d like to thank everyone who said prayers for me especially the person who got one through between 10:30 and midnight last night because it seemed like someone upstairs just flipped the pain switch off and I was (actually my lovely wife and I were) able to sleep without any pain meds until 5:AM, a first since I broke it on the 16th.
Praise God for his Mercy

Amen. And that is great news. I say my prayers right before I go to sleep when it’s finally quiet and there will be no interruptions. Unless it’s urgent. Hope you poor ankle heals quickly and well. Prayers ongoing. . .
