About Catholic Classics Unlimited and Myself
CATHOLIC CLASSICS UNLIMITED ^

Posted on 10/30/2015 11:07:59 PM PDT by OrthodoxIndianCatholic

Dear Friends in Jesus and Mary,

Greetings from Mumbai, India.

I have taken an important decision. I will not be posting threads on the "Religion" Section of the Forum any more.

That is only because of 2 things that have happened recently.

1)My PC just a few days back broke down suddenly and it took the life out of me to get it working again.

2)On the last thread, I posted @ FR, there were numerous negative comments against the Blessed Mother which really incensed me and riled me.

One was that Our Lady was a "Frigid Housewife". This is really mean and unbecoming and an unchristian comment. On that count alone, I will not post @ FR anymore.

My Catholic Blog -- Catholic Classics Unlimited will be 2 years old on the 5th of November 2015. It was started on Nov 5, 2013.

My suggestion to everyone since I won't be posting anymore @ FR is to bookmark my Blog or visit it 2-3 times a month to read the articles I have posted.

Important :

Following will be the articles, I will be posting @ my blog in the near future. Read them whenever you can.

1) Dec 12, 2015 -- Our Lady of Guadalupe -- Patroness of the Americas.

2) Dec 25, 2015 -- A Reflection for Christmas Day 2015.

3) Ash Wednesday 2016 -- Lent 2016 -- Lenten Spirituality.

4) A Unique Perspective on the Blessed Mother during Lent.

5) Easter Sunday 2016 -- Resurrection Joy.

6) Divine Mercy Sunday 2016 -- A Perspective on the Blessed Sacrament.

Please remember that Article Number 6 will be the last article to be posted on my Blog.

Please remember to bookmark this thread and also to bookmark my blog.

I am posting this thread @ a cybercafe in Mumbai.

Goodbye.

Note : The latest article to be posted @ my blog is a short and sweet article for the Feast of Saint Jude Thaddeus -- Patron of Desperate Cases 28th October 2015.

Insert Roman Catholic in place of Thyatira and you will see that the RCC is the one who perverts Mary, Mother of Jesus. The warnings of Jesus are right before your very eyes save yourself.

Revelation 2:18-29 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

18 And to the angel of the church of Thyatira write: These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like to a flame of fire, and his feet like to fine brass.
19 I know thy works, and thy faith, and thy charity, and thy ministry, and thy patience, and thy last works which are more than the former.
20 But I have against thee a few things: because thou sufferest the woman Jezabel, who calleth herself a prophetess, to teach, and to seduce my servants, to commit fornication, and to eat of things sacrificed to idols.
21 And I gave her a time that she might do penance, and she will not repent of her fornication.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed: and they that commit adultery with her shall be in very great tribulation, except they do penance from their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am he that searcheth the reins and hearts, and I will give to every one of you according to your works. But to you I say,
24 And to the rest who are at Thyatira: Whosoever have not this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will not put upon you any other burthen.
25 Yet that, which you have, hold fast till I come.
26 And he that shall overcome, and keep my works unto the end, I will give him power over the nations.
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and as the vessel of a potter they shall be broken,
28 As I also have received of my Father: and I will give him the morning star.
29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.

Keep reporting them. The anti-Mormon bashers are back as well.

Alex Murphy, Psycho-Extraordinaire, was axed several months ago.

Funny that everybody always had such a hard time with Alex. I, personally, never minded him so much.

There are others here that bugged me far more than Alex ever did. Some who did smell the ozone and a couple of others who I wish would have...however, I was sorry to see Alex go.

Well, maybe he didn’t write to you privately and look up all your posts and post them back to you or post pictures from raunchy Hollywood movies (such holiness!) or follow you to other threads. Maybe you should have some empathy for others who were bugged by this nutcase. I can’t imagine why a Catholic would be sorry to see him go!

Compared to some who are here (and some who have gone), he was far from the worst one.

If he PM'd you inappropriately, I'm sorry for that and wasn't aware of it.

Wow.

There are some vicious anti-Catholics on FR. I wonder how anyone who claims to be a Christian—no matter how vehemently he rejects Catholic beliefs about Mary—could think Jesus could take kindly to anyone’s insulting his mother, as the anti-Catholics do constantly.

It is explained when one is walking after the flesh instead of in the Holy Spirit, when the religion becomes antiCatholic instead of doing the works we are commanded to do in love and keep ourselves unspotted.

He was one of the worst - why do you think he’s gone?? Did he send you photos from stupid, raunchy Hollywood movies? I must say, I scratch my head over some of your posts.

I’ve seen the “frigid housewife” comment before, but it was not aimed at Mary but at the odd Catholic idea that she withheld sexual relations from Joseph for the duration of their marriage.

Even Pascal balked at that:

“The Gospel only speaks of the virginity of the Virgin up to the time of the birth of Jesus Christ. All with reference to Jesus Christ.”—Thoughts, 741

“It’s the very definition of insanity to go on posting in an open forum.”

No, I’d say it’s just normal human need for antithesis. Without it there is no tension, no challenge, no testing. One could use the Caucus label, but show me one such thread that’s gone upwards of 2000 replies. Takes two to tango.

Arguing against Marian dogma is a trap, IMO. Very easy to be seen as discounting the actual Mary vs. the fabricated version.

Oh, please. The argument has to be intelligent on both sides. If you think anti-Catholics posting quotes from Dan Brown novels and pictures from The Exorcist is “tension and challenge,” I have the proverbial bridge in Bk’lyn to sell you.

you might want to check with the Catholic caucus and post under that group.. anyone can read the posts but trolls are banned.

So.. anyone who isn't Catholic is a troll?

Well that's nice.

I was referring to the Caucus label in general. They die quick deaths while the open threads go on and on. Perhaps you should simply avoid open threads and leave those who enjoy them (for whatever reason) to their own devices?

Should the question be “Where would the Catholic Church be now if Jesus Christ were worried about hurt feelings?”

The persecution was of all prophets and all apostles, most of whom died a martyr’s death.

You want proof?

I used google. Ever hear of it?

To: OrthodoxIndianCatholic
Much more than just sheltering the Incarnate Word of God within her, Mary nurtured, loved, and adored him “Who” is her God in her own flesh and blood. while denying her HUSBAND his basic needs.
What a girl!!

The Roman Catholic Church has turned the beautiful, bless lady of Scripture into an asexual, frigid Jewish wife; who withheld her favors from Joseph for no rational reason.
