Is you list an all inclusive list of people leaving Christianity or some other belief for Catholicism or just a list of famous people?
I think it appears that it is you who have no clue of the history of the Church’s annulments and how at one time it was used for the ruling elite. That it must now be streamlined and extended to ordinary Catholics invites your ire and the scandalous postings you make on Pope Francis even if some of us don’t agree with all his musings.
An early historical reference to Catholic annulment involves Pope Nicholas I (858-867), who refused to grant an annulment to King Lothair II of Lotharingia so that Lothair could marry his mistress Waldrada, but a Council pronounced in favour of the annulment, resulting in Nicholas disbanding the Council. Regardless of the outcome for Lothair, it seems that Church annulments were an established fact, at least for the ruling classes.
When Louis XII became king of France in 1498, he had his marriage with Joan annulled by Pope Alexander VI so that he could marry Anne of Brittany.
Fast forward five centuries later, and we have a Church in disrepair. The call to St. Francis was “Go repair my Church,” and its been picked up by the current Vicar of Christ in consultation with his Bishops in a duly called Synod. Picking up blog posts with titles like “I’m the Fricken Pope, So Shut the Hell Up,” is the stuff of enemies of the Church. Even the conservatives like Archbishops Chaput and Burke would be ashamed of this vile diatribe.

I remember well the grief that Paul VI went through. Hundreds of American priests had already prepared a signed draft of rebuttal to the encyclical.
He came through with Humanae Vitae. And his predictions of what would come if the encyclical was ignored have come about.
I remember Archbishop Fulton Sheen telling about the time he had a conversation with Pope Paul VI; the Pope told Bishop Sheen: “Every night when I put my head on my pillow I lay it on a crown of thorns.”
While mentioning Pope Paul VI, I would like to add this; his little-known, short encyclical -..”Mense Maio”....is well worth reading, especially in these very critical days.

Good thing then that according to Protestants there is no need for confession. I’ll just declare myself “saved” and make it all better thereby.
We do not lose salvation if/when we sin. The Greek in John 5:24 confirms this. Actually, the English is pretty good at conveying the message.
Do we ask for the forgiveness of sins? Yes we do. Is it to keep our salvation? No.
It is to keep our relationship/fellowship right with God.
Is that funny??? Tell us what that verse means...Matt 19:28...
Stop lol....The authors, prophets were certainly contributors to what became the bible, but it was the Catholics who compiled these writings, both old and new testament,were edited, transcribed, combined, preserved....whatever...just so you could have a book with all this stuff in it....without them, the stuff would undoubtedly exist, but you'd never know where and how to get it to read......

Thanks, but we had large buildings by then...anyway, you’re right, there were plenty of mistakes made in the early years, Christ, however, had promised to watch over His flock and protect her from serious error....He did just that, we matured, grew, and turned into a magnificent organization with Christ at its head.
