Prayers lifting, for you both.
Well, I have some experience here. Once you get diagnosed — that was the hard part. Now modern medicine can do something. It is way beyond what you can imagine. 1 piece of advice— get him to the best doctors!! Don’t mess around with locals. Get on the internet and find the best. The call him and speak with his liaison or head nurse. Then get you dad’s records and scan them to PDF and email them in batches. Fight for him!! God Bless and good luck.

My husband has had COPD for more years than I can remember. Yes, there are tough times. In fact, he could use a few prayers right now too. He ended up in the hospital this past week with pneumonia The key is getting his strength back and it can be difficult. But, determination and prayers can produce miracles!
You can count on my prayers.
By the way— Run — do not walk to MD Anderson in Houston. Call them now!!
Prayers for your Dad’s strength and freedom from all anxiety for your entire family.
Where does he (and you) think he will wake up after he dies? Has he put Jesus in charge of all of his days and does he know that Jesus gave His life for him (and you) that when you leave this world, that you may join Him with God the Father and Creator of us all?
Your father's condition is serious but he may still have many days and years with you and the rest of the family. The important thing is that all of you are certain that you will be together again in Heaven in Eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Prayers for your father’s health and healing.
Enjoyed your homepage.
Be there to help him when he can no longer do certain tasks himself. I’ve been looking out for my mom for 12+ years. Godspeed.
Prayers.
Patience, love and prayers for you and your Dad.
but COPD doesn't develop suddenly...your dad has had it for years...
COPD is simply a code word that groups chronic respiratory disease....and its more common than you think...
now that he has quit smoking, his health will stabilize...
there is no cure for COPD but people can live long lives nonetheless.
Feel free to add the Max prayer after the Lord’s prayer during mass ;)
Praying for your dad and you.
God Bless You
prayers up for your dad and family.

I have severe emphysema and I may get into a trial study ( Liberate study ) of a new device, made by the Pulmonx corporation, which helps those with sever lung disease. The study is in Stanford Hospital, but other Hospitals are also running studies. Have him check into it. Good luck.
Martha, I have a daughter that is 30 years old and as a father I can say that NOTHING makes me happier inside than my every Sunday brunch with her.
My daughter always initiates the brunch because “fathers”, more than anything, don’t wish to be an imposition on their kids (and son-in-law).
So, the “Gift” you’ve got NOW is free. It’s called “your” time which internally he computes as “respect”, which is all most dads want from a daughter. IS for me!
In the meantime, I wish you AND him the very best of good luck!
May the healing and comforting hand of Jesus be on your dad and your whole family, and on the others who expressed need for their COPD relatives here.
Prayers sent, God bless you all.
