Interesting how she “displays a photo of the Vatican envelope” on Facebook, but not the letter itself. We can’t read the wording of the letter.

I’m not a Catholic but if I was I would not support the Church as long as he is there. It really irritates me when he is getting involved in gov’t promotion is socialism and mass immigration.

A demented Argentinian communist (and possible pervert) sits on the throne of Peter.

Will God intervene?

Pope Francis sends letter praising gay children’s book
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3330278/posts

Similar article, but different. Your article says that the letter was suppose to be private. So, the Pope is saying one thing in public and another in private.

““The principle behind this advice is simple”, say Kirk and Pill, “almost any behavior begins to look normal if you are exposed to enough of it at close quarters and among your acquaintances. The acceptability of the new behavior will ultimately hinge on the number of one’s fellows doing it or accepting it.”

A person may be offended initially by the novelty of it all, but as Kirk and Pill point out “as long as Joe-Six-pack feels little pressure to perform likewise, and as long as the behavior in question presents little threat to his physical and financial security, he soon gets used to it and life goes on.” As time goes on, Joe-Six pack and his friends will become more tolerant of homosexuality as no more than an alternative, legitimate way of life.

This is the strategy of telling the story of homosexual families to small children, especially when these books are introduced in children’s schools. It means equalizing, in the educational period, the traditional family with the homosexual couples.”

That indeed is a very effective strategy. They used it with wild success in the entertainment industry where every show or film depict homosexuals in a more positive light than heteros, and shows the heteros acceptance of homosexuality as a noble, moral act.

It’s obvious to me that this is a generic form letter from a staff member in response to a gift of many books.

The way the letter is written, there is nothing inappropriate in it no matter who it is addressed to.

“His holiness is grateful for the thoughtful gesture and for the feelings which it evoked, hoping for an always more fruitful activity in the service of young generations and the spread of genuine human and Christian values,”

It simply thanks them for the thoughtful gesture and feelings evoked. So what.

And it expresses a hope that in the future, they will do a better job serving humanity and christianity.

You can say that to a satanist or atheist and have it be a good and encouraging thing.

There is nothing in the quote revealed that shows it was tailored at all to the particular person.
In fact it screams generic form letter from a staff member...

“If someone is gay and searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” Two years ago Tuesday, Pope Francis uttered these words.

Are we all sinners?
Absolutely

Do we need forgiveness of our sins, once we repent? Absolutely.

Do we need a representative of God to point out sin?
Absolutely

My Church allows anyone that wants to the opportunity to worship and gives access to all the church services and counseling available tom members We do not allow Homosexuals or Heterosexuals living together (Not married) to be voting members of our Church. I feel the Pope is lukewarm towards sinners (as defined in the Bible). Just my felling, I could be wrong.

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/vatican-pope-did-not-endorse-gay-penguin-book-51835/

From this link …..
On Aug. 28, Pardi said in a Facebook post that she had received “a private letter written by Msgr. (Peter) Brian Wells in the name of Pope Francis, on Vatican letterhead.”

She said that the letter was addressed to her and to her girlfriend, Silvia Maria Fiengo. She claimed that the Pope “had thanked her” for the “delicate gesture” and expressed wishes for “an always more fruitful activity in the service of young generations and the spread of genuine human and Christian values.”

Pardi added that the Pope gave her and Fiengo the Apostolic Blessing. Numerous media outlets covered the story by saying that the Pope was offering his support for Pardi and her book.

However, the Vatican says that the letter signed by Msgr. Peter Wells, assessor to the Secretariat of State, is not an indication of papal support.
