A "disturbing" image, says Chiesa e postconcilio . "What does the great catechism of St. Pius X, # 887. What should a Christian do if he is offered a Bible by a Protestant or an emissary of the Protestants? Answer: When a Christian of a is offered a bible by a Protestant or an envoy, he must reject it with disgust, because it is forbidden by the Church; when he accepts it, not noticing, then he must throw it immediately into the fire or deliver his pastor."

I guess Pope St. Pius X, never even envisioned one of his successors kissing a Koran, as JPII did.

Of course today there are no Waldensians really. They are Methodists now.

What will be interesting to see is how the Protestant anti-Catholic “Pope-will-create-false-world-religion-to-oppose-Christ” crowd here at FR will receive the news that Pope Francis gets on so well with bona fide, rock solid, evangelicals like the Waldensians.

I’m sure they’ll find something to whine about like little girls. . . just like the faux traditionalists here.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methodism

Methodism originated as a revival movement in The Church Of England
Theology[edit]

Most Methodists identify with the Arminian conception of free will, through God’s prevenient grace, as opposed to the theological determinism of absolute predestination

#32 and #33 flies in the face of Vatican II’s false ecumenism where it teaches that Christ uses separated churches as means of salvation.

38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.” 39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40 for whoever is not against us is for us. 41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.

Listen to the Boss.

Actually he didn’t. It is my understanding that he was referring to physical separation. And in certain circumstances that is indeed necessary.

No, as besides the defintion of "Protestant" being so broad as to be essential meaningless, Rome, like the sectarian pre-Pentecostal apostles, was against any doing ministry in the name of the Lord that was not sanctioned by them.

For RCs presume that an assuredly (if conditionally) infallible magisterium is essential for determination and assurance of Truth (including writings and men being of God).

And that being the historical instruments and stewards of Divine revelation (oral and written) means that such is that assuredly infallible magisterium. Thus any who knowingly dissent from the latter must be in rebellion to God.

Which logic leads to an interesting and damnable conclusion.

Protestantism = protest against Catholic Church

Regardless of what individual protestants believe, Protestantism was the result of the Reformation which came about in protest of the Catholic Church.

Yes, Protestants in their many forms are against us. So, in this case, the Bible verse posted above doesn’t apply because Protestants are against us, not with us.

There is nothing more for us to say because it is that black and white.
