A "disturbing" image, says Chiesa e postconcilio . "What does the great catechism of St. Pius X, # 887. What should a Christian do if he is offered a Bible by a Protestant or an emissary of the Protestants?

Oh the humanity!

A. The truths which God has revealed are contained in Holy Scripture and in Tradition.

Can a person be saved without 'tradition'?

Q. Why does the Church forbid Protestant Bibles?

Because it CAN!

Of course today there are no Waldensians really.

Two men considering a religious vocation were having a conversation. "What is similar about the Jesuit and Dominican Orders? " the one asked.

The second replied, "Well, they were both founded by Spaniards -- St. Dominic for the Dominicans, and St. Ignatius of Loyola for the Jesuits. They were also both founded to combat heresy -- the Dominicans to fight the Albigensians, and the Jesuits to fight the Protestants."

"What is different about the Jesuit and Dominican Orders?"

 "Met any Albigensians lately?"

Of course today there are no Waldensians really. They are Methodists now.

What will be interesting to see is how the Protestant anti-Catholic “Pope-will-create-false-world-religion-to-oppose-Christ” crowd here at FR will receive the news that Pope Francis gets on so well with bona fide, rock solid, evangelicals like the Waldensians.

Make up your confused, Catholic mind!

Yes, Protestants in their many forms are against us.

Golly; I wonder WHY???

Pope Stephen VI (896–897), who had his predecessor Pope Formosus exhumed, tried, de-fingered, briefly reburied, and thrown in the Tiber.[1]

Pope John XII (955–964), who gave land to a mistress, murdered several people, and was killed by a man who caught him in bed with his wife.

Pope Benedict IX (1032–1044, 1045, 1047–1048), who "sold" the Papacy

Pope Boniface VIII (1294–1303), who is lampooned in Dante's Divine Comedy

Pope Urban VI (1378–1389), who complained that he did not hear enough screaming when Cardinals who had conspired against him were tortured.[2]

Pope Alexander VI (1492–1503), a Borgia, who was guilty of nepotism and whose unattended corpse swelled until it could barely fit in a coffin.[3]

Pope Leo X (1513–1521), a spendthrift member of the Medici family who once spent 1/7 of his predecessors' reserves on a single ceremony[4]

Pope Clement VII (1523–1534), also a Medici, whose power-politicking with France, Spain, and Germany got Rome sacked.

Can a person be saved without 'tradition'?

Papists ask me "Why do you pray and how can you have hope"
"You don't bow down to Rome and you disregard our Pope".
But they have manmade rules and some unBiblical positions
I'm just thankful they don't burn me in some kinda inquisition.

So I ask them what Catholics think that we should do to be saved
cuz' in Gods eyes we're in a sinful state and really really depraved?
They say it's easy because once you're Catholic - there's no friction
You pay your tithes, go to Mass and believe in our Apostolic Traditions!

That Bible you read, you'll no longer have to search!
No sir! Not when you attend The One True Church!
Things practiced not in the Bible are just like my predictions
If it ain't in black & white, it's covered by Apostolic Traditions!

>>Which logic leads to an interesting and damnable conclusion.<<

They do believe this Francis guy is "vicar of Christ" after all.

“Make up your confused, Catholic mind!”

I said nothing contradictory.

1) “Of course today there are no Waldensians really. They are Methodists now.”

That is undeniably true. They long ago abandoned their particular Waldensian beliefs when they became Calvinists in the 16th century. They are now Methodists.

2) “bona fide, rock solid, evangelicals like the Waldensians.”

They still refer to themselves as Waldensians.

This is stated simply enough by how they name their own website: “Chiesa Evangelica Valdese- Unione delle Chiese metodiste e valdesi” meaning, Waldesnian Evangelical Church - The Union of the Methodist Church and Waldensians.

Anti-Catholicism: Lead paint chips for the Protestant mind.

.....”They do believe this Francis guy is “vicar of Christ” after all”.......

...As I see it most catholics take what they like from the pope, ignore or excuse what they don’t..... But by “position “ he retains the ‘title’... of “Vicar of Christ”.... even if he’s bad. Obvious catholic history does attest to this for they’ve had some really bad Popes!

I say this because their traditional condemnation on any who reject papal infallibility:.... “But if anyone presumes to contradict this definition of Ours, which may God forbid: let him be anathema”.... pretty much prevents them from saying otherwise.

...Pope Francis gets on so well with bona fide, rock solid, evangelicals like the Waldensians.

"bona fide"?

"rock solid"?

As in bona fide, rock solid in their heresy? Or in their stance outside the One, True Church?

For somebody who claims Pope Pius X as his hero, you don't seem to put much stock in the saint's catechism.

Why would these guys even let him in their church?

I know they would not be welcomed and included at mass.

The Pope kissed a (proto-Protestant) bible?

I'm guessing there was no book of Genesis in it.

Yes, Protestants in their many forms are against us. So, in this case, the Bible verse poste

d above doesn’t apply because Protestants are against us, not with us.

It does indeed apply, as like the apostles, traditional (vs. V2) Catholicism wrongly holds that one cannot validly do ministry in the name of the Lord without their sanction, while Christ said such are for Him. Thus the latter are for Christ, while the sectarian Rome is against Him.

Anyone who does ministry in the name of the Lord as the one whom the apostles reproved, is indeed against elitist Rome, as they are against Christ in this.

It is not complicated at all, but it is expected that RCs will not admit it.
