It's being called the "Cupich appointment of the West," and not without reason – resolving the highest-profile vacancy on the current US docket, at Roman Noon tomorrow the Pope is slated to name Bishop Robert McElroy, the 61 year-old auxiliary of San Francisco known as one of the Stateside bench's most outspoken progressives, as the sixth bishop of San Diego and its 1 million Catholics in the nation's seventh-largest city.

It’s all based on the lie that Denial of Communion is a “sanction.” It is NOT a sanction. It is a requirement of the moral law, sacramental law, and divine law.
Note how his arguments are all consequentialist: Denial of Communion will hurt the Democrats. Denial of Communion will make the bishops unpopular. Denial of Communion will undermine the “Seamless Garment.”
By appointing this piece of scum, Bergoglio confirms that he is pro-abortion and pro-sacrilegious Communion, and that he hates the Catholic Church.
