The prots don't want the fight then walk away.

OOH!

Hit me again!

There is a saying: If Islam lays down it's weapons there will be no war, if Israel lays down there weapons there will be no Israel.

There is a saying: If Rome lays down it's weapons there will be no Rome; if the Prots lay down their weapons then the Borg will accept them back.

Simplistic but basically accurate.

Fake, but basically Roman.

Thank you for not following the thread and proving me correct once again.

You guys really get proven right a LOT!!

Bernadine: …all gifts, all virtues, and all graces are dispensed by the hands of Mary to whomsoever, when, and as she pleases. O Lady, since thou art the dispenser of all graces, and since the grace of salvation can ONLY come through thy hands, OUR SALVATION DEPENDS ON THEE.

Bonaventure: …the gates of heaven will open to all who confide in the protection of Mary. Blessed are they who know thee, O Mother of God, for the knowledge of THEE is the high road to everlasting life, and the publication of thy virtues is the way of ETERNAL SALVATION . Give ear, O ye nations; and all you who desire heaven , serve, honor Mary, and certainly you will find ETERNAL LIFE.

Ephem: …devotion to the divine Mother…is the unlocking of the heavenly Jerusalem.

Blosius: To the, O Lady, are committed the KEYS and the treasures of the kingdom of Heaven.

Ambrose: …constantly pray ‘Open to us, O Mary, the gates of paradise, since thou hast its KEYS.

Fulgetius: …by Mary God descended from Heaven into the world, that by HER man might ascend from earth to Heaven.

Athanasius: …And, thou, O Lady, wast filled with grace, that thou mightiest be the way of our SALVATION and the means of ascent to the heavenly Kingdom.

Richard of Laurence: Mary, in fine, is the mistress of heaven; for there she commands as she wills, and ADMITS whom she wills.

Guerric: …he who serves Mary and for whom she intercedes, is as CERTAIN of heaven as if he were already there…and those who DO NOT serve Mary will NOT BE SAVED.

Anselm: It suffices, O Lady, that thou willest it, and our SALVATION is certain.

Antoninus: …souls protected by Mary, and on which she casts her eyes, are NECESSARILY JUSTIFIED AND SAVED.

They have to have some reason to have burned Hus at the stake!

(He was burned at the stake for heresy against the doctrines of the Catholic Church, including those on ecclesiology, the Eucharist, and other theological topics.) [The truth hurts, especially if you express it.]

How dare he!

Interesting side note:

John Hus, actively promoted Wycliffe’s ideas: that people should be permitted to read the Bible in their own language, and they should oppose the tyranny of the Roman church that threatened anyone possessing a non-Latin Bible with execution.

Hus was burned at the stake in 1415, with Wycliffe’s manuscript Bibles used as kindling for the fire. The last words of John Hus were that, “in 100 years, God will raise up a man whose calls for reform cannot be suppressed.”

Almost exactly 100 years later, in 1517, Martin Luther nailed his famous 95 Theses of Contention (a list of 95 issues of heretical theology and crimes of the Roman Catholic Church) into the church door at Wittenberg. The prophecy of Hus had come true!

That’s why the Protestant Reformation was needed. To get us back to God’s Word.

Other than being 180 degrees off...you are right

The church did just fine for 1,600 years....then along came the revolutionaries....read and studied the EXACT same scriptures and books that had been there for that time....and decided to reinterpret them to suit their own perverted idea as to what the Bible should say.....and dumped a few books in the process...bad idea..

Thanks for your reply.

I cannot tell you how the Body of Christ got here to the Carolinas but we did and here we are.

But that history exists. That's not the case for the claim I'm addressing.

Thanks for your reply.

Then I doubt you know what it is that you are casting doubt upon.

The existence of non-denominational Christians since the time of Christ – specifically those claimed to be ancestors (in belief and practice) to current non-denominational Christians – unbroken in history up to the present day.

What's that got to do with anything?

Well, since Yeshua declared that his assembly doesn’t have any denominations, buildings, nor wealth, it has to be non-denominational!

Yeshua’s belief and practice is simply Torah, so that shouldn’t be so hard to determine.

>> “And of course, no one said God forced anything on Mary.” <<

Luke 1:31

“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son...”

.
Doesn’t look optional to me.

So something was obviously placed in Mary’s life without requesting consent.

Martin luther may have had a legitimate gripe, but if you belong to an organization that you would like to see some changes in, you seek REFORM....reform is within. If you revolt, you do not change the original organization at all. The colonists did not try to reform England, they revolted and started their own country, as did Luther....new government, new rules, reinterpretation of existing scripture, editing sections out of the Bible, and if you keep an eye on what's happening now, the Presbeterians are about to O.K. same sex marriage....

How's that revolution working out for you???
