...there are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church...

Many of whom are Catholic.

When most Catholics are asked if they have been “born again” or “have accepted Christ as their Savior”, their main response is “I believe in God” or “I am a good person”, or “I’m Catholic”.

And this is born out on this forum everyday.

The name of the website is catholic convert.com.

The irony is not lost.

The tobacco farmers were Baptists, who considered smoking a sin

The Huegenot church-bells were flogged, then baptised as Roman Catholics

Two epigrams from WH Auden that popped into my head and made sense, strangely, of the drama of such "conversions". Probably will make sense to no one else, lol.

No irony. Catholic-convert.com is about and for people who have converted to the Catholic faith.

Before the Bible, there was the Church. Catholics don’t need “born gain” nonsensical stuff. We have the Holy Eucharist.

No irony. Catholic-convert.com is about and for people who have converted to the Catholic faith.

Again, you miss the point. The "convert" said the following about his experience on meeting catholics: "When most Catholics are asked if they have been “born again” or “have accepted Christ as their Savior”, their main response is “I believe in God” or “I am a good person”, or “I’m Catholic”.

And this is posted at a website called catholic convert.

Notice how they convert to Rome, not Christ.

“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.” — 1 John 2:19

I have nothing against Catholics and their teaching is generally sound.
I do have a problem with pope Francis, his connections, and some of the orders such as the Jesuits.

I'd be very careful if I were you saying you don't need "born again" nonsensical stuff.

It was pretty important to Christ.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3

From the article:

**What is very interesting, with my Biblical background, everything I have learned is coming together. Oh, that is why they do this or that. I have had many wow moments with tears as the Bible has become alive to me. 2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. St. Paul has so much to say in regards to His Word and the word which Paul himself has spoken as to the traditions (teachings) given from Christ himself to the Apostles who have given these same to those who came after them.**

BTTT! Steve gets it.

Bergoglio was elected by the very faction who hated Benedict and made his life a living hell. He is the worst Pope in 500 years. (I arrived at that figure by looking up “bad popes,” and finding that the last universally-agreed-upon “bad pope” was 500 years ago.)

The Jesuits may not be the most corrupt religious order, but they are corrupt. Fortunately, they will be gone in about a century.

Help me out here. If the Church really believed that, why were catholics forbidden for centuries to read the Scriptures for themselves; and even now are told it isn’t really necessary?

One can “do church” in any denomination and be totally unregenerate. Catholics need to be born again just as much as anybody else.

Where are you getting your information from? Care to specify exactly where and when Catholics were forbidden from reading the Bible for themselves?

I do not hate the Catholic Church...it is just another denomination of Christianity just like a lot of Protestant denomination of Christianity....

My only bone to pick is the Catholic Church members contending they’re the only Christianity and all non Catholics Protestants are apostates ....

one comes to Christ through Christ not via a denomination of church..be it Catholic or Protestant.......

The Catholic Church nor any other church is Christ gatekeeper
