The Holy See has released a radical feminist activist who bared her breasts in St Peter’s Square on Christmas Day and snatched the statue of Baby Jesus from the Vatican’s outdoor Nativity scene.
The Holy See prosecutor met Yana Zhdanova and decided to order her release, according to Vatican spokesman the Rev Federico Lombardi.
The Ukrainian protester was also ordered to never enter Vatican City State, including St Peter’s Basilica, or other Vatican property outside the city-state’s walls.
The Femen protester shouted “God is woman” when she uncovered her chest in the square, about an hour after Pope Francis had greeted and blessed tens of thousands of faithful.
A Vatican guard covered her chest with his cloak and took her into Vatican custody.
When FEMEN's Russian affiliate, Pussy Riot, tried this kind of stunt in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, they got a couple months in the slammer. I'm glad, in all in all, that they were not prosecuted by the Vatican, just removed and told never to return.
These FEMEN gals don't garner much respect for their cause by their repeated vulgar cultural vandalism. I suppose they do it to get arrested and gain victim status with their buddies. Being merely shooed away --- like removing a naughty puppy --- is arguably the best way to deny them the gonzo drama they crave.
One has to wonder if Nacy Pelosi and Martin Omalley are also forbidden to go there and if not, why not? Is supporting the murder of the unborn not as bad as running naked?
Better & less-crazy-looking chicks would go a long way in their favor.

In my opinion, although the majority of people would never do anything so tacky, they agree with the basic premises of FEMEN/Pussy Riot.

As an artist who attended many “life-painting” classes, the image of the human body in various stages of undress does not affect me one way or the other.
However, as a sensitive believer, I am profoundly disturbed by demonic manifestations. I have encountered these “entities” in mosques, and concentration camp artifacts. they are real.
And her face shows that very thing.
That would certainly make a point, but it requires that the targeted congregation is prepared. The reason these incidents go the way they do is that the congregation are shocked and don't have a planned response. If they'd been coached in advance to roar with laughter, it will all go very differently.
I'm sticking my neck out here, but I guess if they bared their breasts or any other primary or secondary sexual characteristics, and then snatched breakable statuary and started yelling idiotic slogans, they would be similarly banned.
I don't think the Vatican police have any real way to screen people in the public square as to their comparative worthiness, unless someone actually starts stripping and yelling.
If you knew liberals you’d know that is one more way of feeding their urge to get publicity for their cause if not themselves. You know the “line of shamers” would get traduced worldwide (even if it was Christian to do, which it is not).

Her face and her actions show that she spends to much time talking with others like her, and probably is somewhat mentally disturbed, that’s all.
Making these people out to be more than they are (not much) is a huge mistake, giving them power they don’t possess. She’s just another humdrum disturbed loser.
How much time did they spend in the slammer?
