I’ve suggested that those who post articles should put the caucus designation before the title, so that people will see that before they see “Mary,” “Saints,” or whatever their freakout word is.

This is a nice video of a revival in El Salvador. The song is about the assembly of angels around the altar during Mass, the union of the heavenly liturgy with ours.

My choir will be singing this today (faster ;-). The other Spanish music group at my parish is led by a man from Guatemala, and they do it this way.

Are you familiar with the Orthodox Akathist prayer? I have it in a book, but I think Kolokotronis knows a link to an English recording online.

I am beginning to regret not studying Spanish more seriously. I love the music and that translates. I think more and more of our parishes will be bilingual soon. Previous to where I live now, we had many bilingual Masses. Enough of them that I am actually starting to understand the words more.

Boy talk about two strikes. Catholic and Spanish speaking supportive. At least at Church. :)

I was researching and there are many Akathist prayers. The word apparently means not sitting. I have not done much digging in the Orthodox. Maybe I am supposed to. :)

Well maybe to get this thread back on track:

Praying the Rosary every day has been a great blessing for both me and my mother as she has been battling her illness. She hasn’t suffered any ill effects from chemotherapy except she tires easily.

So thank you Mary, dear Blessed Mother. Please keep praying for her (as well as anyone else reading this). It’s a great comfort I know to both of us that the Blessed Mother is hearing our prayers and accompanying us on this journey like any mother truly would.
