It was a damp, cold morning in Rome. Many umbrellas and brightly colored ponchos could be seen as the popemobile circled around St. Peter's Square.
Before beginning his catechesis, the Pope gave an encouraging word to the pilgrims.
POPE FRANCIS "It's kind of an ugly day, huh? But you are courageous. Congratulations!”
Pope Francis explained that the Church is on a path towards the Kingdom of Heaven, a seed that has been in the Earth. He also said that after death, Christians will come face to face with God.
POPE FRANCIS "It is beautiful to think of this, to think of Heaven. And we will all meet there. All of us, All of us...Up there...all of us.”
In the Church, the Pope continued, there exists a communion among living Christians and those who have passed away. He concluded that they help one another through prayer.
During his greeting, Pope Francis reminded the pilgrims of his upcoming trip to Turkey.
POPE FRANCIS "I invite all of you to pray so that this visit of Peter to his brother Andrew may bear fruits of peace, sincere dialogue among religions and harmony in the Turkish nation.”
The Pope also greeted Christians from the Middle East. He said that God transforms the world with his forgiveness.

PS: Everyone goes to heaven, makes no difference who they are, what faith, what religion, even atheists. No need in believing in the Gospel. No need in giving your life to Christ. Just "do good" and we'll all meet in heaven. Jesus weeps.

Wow and here you and other RCs just two weeks ago cried havoc when Billy Graham stated his assurance of salvation based on Grace and not his works but Christ's work.
Yet now we have your Pope, your leader in spiritual matters. The head honcho stating as long as atheists are 'good' they can enter the Kingdom of God.

Being a heretic doesn't necessarily mean you are wrong; but it does mean from his point of view the Catholic Church is off track.
The Pope's statement is certainly not a Catholic long time doctrine.
The Pope's statement is something some of the other heretics( Protestants) would agree with.
As I said early on, Pope Francis is going to be to the Catholic Church what Obama is to our country - a disaster. -tom
If he really said that and meant it in the usual sense he’s full of s**t and not Catholic and not Christian and possibly the anti-pope.
Jesus gave Peter (and the rest of the Apostles) the Keys to Heaven. Somebody gave Pope Francis the Keys to Hell. Things that make you go hmmmm.

The pope said “do good”. Just works get you heaven with Frankie, believing in Jesus Christ not necessary.

Through unrepented grave sin, some people refuse to accept the Lord's redemption --- and they lose their salvation.

MMMMMM...methinks this is further proof of the fact - yes, fact - that catholicism is a false religion. Period. Read your Bible, folks...it states that you will only get to Heaven through Him...not through your priest or prayers to saints. Those actions are all futile endeavors. If you’re praying to St Mary for assistance into Heaven, you’re going to be quite surprised the day you show up there.
Jesus was Jewish. He never changed his religion. Jesus’ best friends were Jewish. The Lord loves Jews, and calls them to trust in him. You don’t need to stop being Jewish, RitchieAprile. Stay Jewish, and trust in the Messiah.

Pff... don’t drag us into this, he is all yours. We Protestants do acknowledge people need to have faith in Christ to receive grace and salvation.
According to Catholics, if they say it on Earth, God has to honor it in Heaven. It certainly would be nice having an unlimited line of credit like that.
