"Absolutely disgusting. Are we about to see the death of the Church?" Regarding Cardinal O'Malley's seeming stance on tolerating sin, he needs to read the following passages in the Holy Bible. Not only does Matthew 18:15-17 show us that Jesus taught that unrepentant sinners were to ultimately be kicked out of a congregation, but 1 Corinthians 5 is an example of Paul reprimanding that church for not expelling a sexual offender from the congregation.

According to 1 Thess 4:1-8, Cardinal OMalley has rejected God.

And your grandmother would be right. The problem is most Catholics refuse to see it.
Right now those Catholics who even see a problem only see it as a Francis problem.

Not sure what the big deal is, I've been told over and over again, by several FRoman Catholics, that there are tons of gay priests.
Why the sudden outrage? </sarc>

Even if Catholics faithful to Tradition are reduced to a handful, they are the ones who are the true Church of Jesus Christ. - Saint Athanasius

No, we are going to see it revitalized as many faithful suddenly wake up and see what is at stake. But this can only happen when the Holy Spirit chooses. A period of chastisement is at hand and it will be tempting to fall into despair. But don’t. Christ keeps His promises.

Read up what the BVM had to say at Garabandal in 1963 during Vat II.
Of course, Garabandal is not recognized by the Church.

If the rcc would stick with the Word and ditch tradition these things wouldn’t happen.

Any church built on a sinful man will err in belief and collapse. However a church built on Christ will never fail..

I think there are going to be many who call themselves Catholic who will do just that.
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Of course, Garabandal is not recognized by the ChurchBut Akita is(Japan, 1973):
"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres (other priests). Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord."

Just like all those Scripture-sticking Protestant Churches that blazed this trail?
The Catholic Church is THE repository of Sacred Scripture. O'Malley has chosen to ignore the Word.

He and Boston deserve one another. The man is clearly out of his pastoral realm.
