Cardinal O’Malley Says He Favors Recognition for Gay “Married” Couples
Boston Catholic Insider ^ | 10/11/2014 | bostoncatholicinsider

Amidst the backdrop of the circus of a Synod going on in the Vatican–where some of the highest ranking officials in the Catholic Church hierarchy are skating around Christ’s teachings on marriage and flagrantly ignoring the admonition of St. Paul to the Romans, “Do not conform yourselves to this age”–comments by Cardinal O’Malley to a staffer from New Ways Ministry about recognition for gay “married” couples after the recent Crux event in Boston merit a response and correction.

--snip--

In a one-to-one conversation following a public speaking engagement, Boston’s Cardinal Sean O’Malley said that the firing of church workers because of LGBT issues is a situation that “needs to be rectified,” becoming the first prelate to speak against this trend.

But what about a group marriage of pansexuals, legally divorced that included a converted caprophiliac who is now living with a reverted transgended minor?

Would you suppose O'Malley might be a little light in the designer-sandals himself?

There has been some conjecture (based on his obvious sympathies and the people he promotes and enables). If he isn't, he might as well be.

Sadly I think we just might be. Of course my grandmother used to say the process started with Vatican 2.

Cardinal O’Malley, I would suggest you ponder James 3:1

“Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.”

Do you really think you can mock God? Apparently you do.

More evidence for me that when The Lord said “...and on this Rock I will build My church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” that He was NOT speaking of the Roman Catholic Church because the gates of hell ARE prevailing!

That would fall under the LGBTQAPWXYZ category and of course "mercy" demands "recognition" in such cases as well.

My mother was this close >< to converting when Vatican 2 came around. It made her question things enough that she never completed the process. She still has her sterling silver rosary in fact. And it means enough to her that she nearly stroked out when I wanted to wear it during the 80’s Madonna crucifix jewelry fad.

Never! This too shall pass.

Actually there are many Catholic home school families out there and I guess there is about to be many more. I put all of my three sons through Catholic schools but I wouldn’t do it again if their teachers were openly and flagrantly gay. Also I wouldn’t put up with heterosexuals if they were open about fornication or adultery. If the Cardinal wants to accept one sinful lifestyle he has to accept all.

When a Pupil Has 2 Daddies

Boston Catholic schools will accept kids of same-sex ‘parents,’ but other dioceses take a different approach. The Archdiocese of Boston has decreed that children of same-sex couples can enroll in its parochial schools.

To Jean 2, I’m 75 and I’ve always blamed Vatican 2 for the lack of faith of young Catholics. The Baltimore Catechism was thrown out and replaced with a book of gobbledygook.

Read O’Malley’s account of Ted Kennedy’s funeral, on “Cardinal Sean’s Blog.”

It drips with celebrity-worship. He gushes about the music, the flowers, etc., etc., etc.

Read it, and then TRY to believe he’s not gay.

There Are a couple of things that should be addressed first.

1.) Removal of the Homosexual priests who infiltrated the priesthood . There numbers range in the area of 20% to 40% of currently Ordained Priests (”Serving”)the congregation.
This was written about in a book by Father Cozzens in about 2004, during the abuse within the Catholic Church.

2.) Some one should allow divorced Catholics to receive the Sacraments, while in the state of Grace. These people have been battered by the leaders of the Church for Years.

3.) Homosexuals are not exempted from the sacraments now as long as they are in the state of Grace.. Priests were celebrating Mass during the time the abuse of children took Place.

4.) Homosexuals occupy there time altering society to insure they are well taken care of. They have recently had people fired for donating to causes not approved by Homosexuals. Current Clergy will destroy the Church if homosexual groups are accepted in the church while active in their sexual Persuits. O’Mally should be ashamed of Himself, and so should Dolan in New York for allowing Homosexuals to March in the St. Patricks Day parade.

A reference on Father Donald Cozzens. One might be able to look up his books on the subject. As posted in Post # 34.

Divorced Catholics can receive communion. Divorced and remarried when their first marriage was found to be a nullity Catholics can receive communion.

It is divorced and civilly re-married Catholics, when the prior marriage was NOT found to be null, that may not take communion. This rule was put in place because it was no-one other than Jesus Christ who said:

"I say to you,* whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) and marries another commits adultery.” (Matthew 19:9)

When my kids were going to Catholic school 15 years ago in CA, an openly Lesbian couple was asked to remove their student from our Catholic High school. In another case where I taught in a Catholic school, I had a student where it was thought but in a quiet way that this might be the case, we left that one alone.
O’Malley seems to be a one man wrecking crew in undermining the traditional and scriptural teachings of the Church. God help us.
