So you ARE aware of context!
I was being to wonder.
“You mean like when somebody accuses someone else of hitting abuse when they didn’t?”
Know what the difference is? When the moderator said that no one hit the abuse button, I acknowledged my error and stopped repeating it.
Some people not only keep repeating false information over and over again, they never acknowledge it when informed of the truth.
Sometimes I find it hard to figger out WHAT to do!!
Proverbs 26:4-5
Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
The brilliant mind has re-appeared!
Huh?...an inferior good.???
And the venial?
What does IT lead to?
“...is a gross misrepresentation of that doctrine and the comments on this thread.”
Not in the slightest. Fang and claw protestants argue that if it isn’t in the Bible it didn’t happen. Narrow-minded, simple-minded claptrap that insults God for endowing us with reason.
Catholics demonstrate again and again that Catholic beliefs are “based on Scripture and are in full agreement with it.”
Catholics show again and again that Traditions do not contradict the Bible, are of God, and are binding on the Christian conscience, and when there’s no place else to hide, fang and claw protestants just declare that it’s not in the Bible, declare victory, and keep up the insults.
Not theological differences; childish, playground-bully insults. When someone tires of that bad behavior and says so, they start in with the archetypal bully-chant, “Don’t be such a sissy.”
I wish I were more optimistic about any of the fang and claw protestants understanding this, but it is not thin-skinned to react with disgust to such bad behavior, and it is in no way wrong to say so.
I guess the reason I come back here periodically is that the FR Religion Forum should be better than this, and I just can’t seem to resist trying to roll that boulder up the hill from time to time.
“Historian is a high-falutin title for a common propagandist.”
It’s funny how often ignorance and arrogance go together.
But narses just LOVES to post his 5 favorite pictures over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and...
It’s funny how arrogance over the purported ignorance of others is often due to ignorance itself.
**Narrow-minded, simple-minded claptrap that insults God for endowing us with reason.**
Why would you think our “reason” is unsullied by the fall?
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding
“The BOOK says...”
It also says...
And the city lieth in a four-square: and the length thereof is as great as the breadth. And he measured the city with the golden reed for twelve thousand furlongs: and the length and the height and the breadth thereof are equal.
And that has as much to do with the matter at hand as the passage you quoted.
Here's some more false information you can quit posting.
...protestants argue that if it isnt in the Bible it should not be taught that it DID happen.
Lot's of difference between Rome's speculation and Rome's Bible.
others not so much
Strange you should notice.
You keep doing the same thing, and yet are expecting different results?
HMMMmmm...
Its funny how often great knowledge and arrogance go together.
