Those are God’s words. Jesus said them repeatedly and addressed your problem with eating flesh and blood. Why do you not believe?

You have a hangup with certain words, and instead of accepting God’s word and instructions, you insist on your own definition and chose to ignore God’s words.

Why are your words superior to God’s direct message?

Jesus said this about His words regarding eating of His flesh.

Why don't you believe them?

John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

He's telling us right here that He's talking about SPIRITUAL consuming, not physical.

It could not be more clear.

And since it does not violate the entire weight of Scripture behind it, it can be concluded to be an accurate interpretation.

The interpretation that it is PHYSICALLY eating literal flesh and blood cannot be correct because it violates the clear commands of God set forth in the Law, which Jesus said He came to fulfill.

Your comment: You’re just fooling yourself...If you believed what you are trying to push on us you’d believe anyone who walks into a Catholic church and eats the wafer, that person is going to heaven...How can you even teach something that ridiculous to anyone???

So you are saying that God is ridiculous? Those were God’s words. So you do not have the faith to understand that Jesus asked us at the Last Supper in Memory of HIM to take the Eucharist as His Body and His Blood in Catholic Mass.

I will pray for you so that you see God’s light and understand His words.

You are still ignorning God’s words and intentions.

You are telling God what he cannot do, even though he spoke very clearly about this.

I can see that you are not open to reasoned discussion and keep repeating the same cliched phrases. I have tried to challenge you with God’s own words and you decline to address them, so I will end our discussion now and wish that God’s peace be with you.

>>Why are your words superior to God’s direct message?<<

Genesis 9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

Deuteronomy 12:23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh. 24 Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.

Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

Why do you insist that Jesus and the apostles sinned and broke the law and caused others to do the same?

You have a hangup with certain words, and instead of accepting God’s word and instructions, you insist on your own definition and chose to ignore God’s words.

So if I go and sin all I want and just go into a Catholic church and eat Jesus, I’m good to go?

So is Kennedy, Pelosi, Kerry, Biden, Chavez, etc?

Spiritual truths are spiritual truths, are they not? It works because it works. Jesus didn’t make any exceptions.

So, since I’ve taken communion in the Catholic church hundreds of times in my life, I’m good to go. Right?

After all, Jesus said if I eat, I have life. Now I can do whatever I want and I’ll still make it in.

I'm not telling God what He cannot do. I'm pointing out what HE said is sin.

Are you saying that *God can do anything?*

Can God sin?

Can God violate who He is?

“Catholic religion knows very little about God’s teaching”

So the folks that gave the world the Bible know nothing about God’s teaching?

Why are your words superior to God’s direct message?

Those verses about not eating the blood ARE God's words, not CB's.

They are God's direct message.

Why don't you listen to them?

Oh? And you have an inside track on God's intentions and what I'm thinking that you can tell me what I'm thinking and what God intended?

After chastising me about presuming to speak for God when I posted Scripture?

That statement kinda bugs me this morning. I am pretty sure the Bible came from God.

You do realize, don't you, that all the writers of Scripture are dead and buried now.

Of course, THEY knew about God's teaching.

It's those who 2,000 YEARS LATER who claim they were the ones who gave us God's word, which they didn't because the didn't exist yet, don't have a clue about it.

“I am pretty sure the Bible came from God”.

From God to the Catholic Church. Without the Catholic Church there would be no Bible. That’s just so hard for most protestants to come to grips with.

The fact the Scripture is from God and not the Catholic church is pretty hard for most Catholics to come to grips with.

But there is is in Scripture. Men wrote as they were moved along by THE HOLY SPIRIT.

HE’S the one responsible for Scripture, not men.

Not to mention that the Catholic church cannot legitimately take credit for the Bible because the OT existed LONG before the RCC. So the Catholic church taking credit for it is bearing false witness.

You provide one verse, out of context and then are shown a plethora of scripture pointing out how you are wrong in your interpretation and you yet, like a broken record, ignore scripture to defend your faulty belief...

That pretty much sums it up...Except, those folks did not give the world the bible...The bible was in circulation outside of your religion for century after century...

And when your religion did write its own version of the bible it was kept hidden from the world...It was the Protestant reformers who gave the bible to the world...

It's hard to come to grips with because it is so ridiculously wrong...

90 percent of the extant ancient manuscripts are manuscripts used to create the King James Bible...These are manuscripts that are outside of your religion being dated mostly in the 8th and 9th and tenth Centuries...

They match almost identically with the majority of the Dead Sea Scrolls...

There obviously were non Catholic bibles all over the place thru out history...
