Dolan's the same creep who congratulated Michael Sam for announcing he's gay. 'Good for him' he said!

Like many bishops in this country I suspect that Dolan is playing around on the same side of the sheets as Sam and the gay marchers...

Dump the sodamy queen. No place for endorsement of sin in a church. You can love sinners and hope they change, but sweeping sin under a big tent is truly wrong.

**“It’s time to cancel the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Al Smith Dinner and all the other ‘Catholic’ traditions that have been hijacked by the world,” he wrote. “Better for Catholics to enter their churches and get down on their knees on St. Patrick’s Day to pray in reparation for the foolishness, and to pray for this confused world to return to its senses.”**

I agree with Monsignor Pope. Get down on our knees and pray for reparation for the sins being committed in this modern day world.

Many Catholics don't embrace conservatism because they are afraid of the conservative agenda to shrink social spending.

Catholics get a LOT of money thru social programs.

Seems like Dolan is more interested in satisfying the demands if the PC set than defending Biblical principles.

I am thinking Cardinal Dolan is turning on Catholics.

Dolan should be excommunicated. He is not a man of God IMHO.

Giving Communion to pro-abortion people is a cause of grave scandal. It is therefore a MORTAL SIN.

Dolan is quoted as saying that the effort to deny Communion to pro-abortion people is “in the past.”

Thus, Dolan is EXPLICITLY in favor of MORTAL SIN.

The OFFICIAL policy of the bishops’ conference is that a bishop may “legitimately” choose to give Communion to pro-abortion people.

Thus, the USCCB is officially in favor of MORTAL SIN.

The only way to describe this situation is ROT. Our bishops—at least the ones who actually speak in public—are MORAL IMBECILES. They are Catholic bishops who are not merely personally corrupt or cowardly. They have repeatedly declared themselves as positively in favor of MORTAL SIN.

And who appointed these moral imbeciles? The Popes.

I'm making soup.

How much dog poo do I need to put in to make it dog poo soup? A pound? An ounce? A gram? If I put so much as a milligram of dog poo in the soup, is it still dog poo soup?

Does it matter how many 'gay pride' units march in the parade if there are any at all?

Dolan was conservative only in comparison to Rembert Weakland, whom he replaced. He did some good in that diocese, and I think he was appointed to New York because he smiles a lot and looked plump and friendly; Cdl Egan, whom he was replacing, was considered very frosty and aloof.

Cdl O’Connor had also been warm and popular with New Yorkers, (but he was also really serious about Church teaching and was hated by gays).

Usually when a see comes vacant, a list of 3 names is given to Rome. The names are identified by the bishops’ conferences, passed to the nuncio for review, and then submitted to Rome.

The problem really lies with the bishops’ conferences, which are always dominated by liberals, many of whom have spent years crushing good priests and preventing them from becoming bishops, and stuffing the episcopate with like-minded people.

And that problem goes back to Paul VI, who appointed the “boy bishops,” that is, young liberal bishops who were young enough to hold onto power and destructively influence the Church for over 40 years - and choose their successors.

From the Forbes link posted above:

In 2012, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops received $63 million

Hmmm....is this one reason why Dolan now seems to be supporting gays?

The Saint Patrick’s day parade is no place for a fag group prancing down the street half-dressed and promoting perversion. Let’s get real! Stand up to the homosexuals. If they want to not act like nature made them, then let them but without approval from normal people living the life that they were born into. A man who does not wish to live as a man or a woman who does not wish to live as a woman is simply arrogant. That’s all there is to it.
