“There are a lot more believers in Catholicism than any other faith in the world. Catholics - Going strong now for 2,000 years. “

I would agree that there are more “believers” on the books in catholicism. As to whether they are actually “believers”, it seems doubtful, since most appear not to ever darken the doorway to a church.

As an example, Belgium, a supposedly “catholic country”, where reputedly 75% of citizens are “catholic.”

The Catholic University of Leuven research indicates that regular church attendance is far less than 10%. Now, someone can brag that 75% of a population is Catholic (about 8.3 million souls). But if less than 10% of that number actually ever go to church (about 800 thousand), it appears that catholics are counting more than 7.5 million souls that don’t give a rip enough to have a spiritual life.

That is simply one country.

I think anyone objective would not believe your claim, unless you want to redefine what “believer” means.

Built on that weak foundation, the rest of your blustery post is pie in the sky.

This tops the list of stupid things that you have said. Mary is the Mother of the second person of the trinity in that she gave birth to him. It does not mean that she existed before his divine nature. It meant that she gave birth to the being that was fully God and fully man.

I'll stick with agreeing with the Holy Spirit in what He inspired in Scripture: *Mary, the mother of Jesus*. That way, I KNOW I can't be wrong. In Scripture, the Holy Spirit is clear in calling her *mother of Jesus*.

Try reading the whole Bible

Luke 1:43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

Thankfully, God used dear Luther to recover His Gospel of Grace!

For this, every true believer should be thankful for Luther... And overlook his many failures.

Interesting, isn't it?

When priests molest children, and the hierarchy looks the other way.

When popes bow down and kiss the koran or lead hedonistically immoral lifestyles, Hey, they're just human like the rest of us.

The church is full of sinners.

Nobody is perfect.

Nobody says the pope has to be perfect.

Priests can administer the sacraments even when practicing gross sin because the sacraments are valid as long as his *intent* is pure.

Yada, yada, yada, one excuse after another.

But gall dang it, that Luther better be PERFECT, pure as the new driven snow, sinless as Jesus or they'll shred him for it.

Quite the double standard they have set up there, isn't it?

The word *hypocrisy* comes to mind.

The Holy Spirit calls Mary, *the mother of Jesus*.

No interpretation or rationalization necessary.

As for the rest of your post, there’s not a shred of Scripture to support any of that wishful thinking.

When priests molest children, and the hierarchy looks the other way.

Verga's corollary to Godwin's Law. When a prot brings up the molestation of children by a Catholic priest they automatically lose the argument.

I believe the Catholic Faith is the one, true faith, but I would agree that I wouldn’t use numbers to support truth.

To reach that 1.2 billion strong, one has to include the likes of Kennedy, Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, Chavez, the twice a year Catholics, those who have left the Catholic church whose names have never been removed from the membership rolls.

All of who, Catholics regularly tell us, have ex-communicated themselves from the church.

And yet when playing the numbers game, they're treated like faithful, practicing Catholics.

It's inherently dishonest.

And might doesn't make right. Wide is the road and broad is the path that leads to destruction but narrow is the way that leads to life.

I'd rather be right and few and have God on my side, than join the crowd and be found fighting Him.

I see the Luther articles are being recycled again.

Some threads here on the FRRF are like that movie the Notebook. Doesn’t matter how long you are away from the forum, the same articles and worn out assertions keep coming back.

Let's see what the Father of Protestantism thought about the Blessed Mother.....

You can't fool me!

Everything Luther touched is tainted; as I've read it here many times from pious Catholics.

Martin Luther was a heretic and a tool of Satan.

And yet...

Get thee behind me; Satan

was never directed towards him by Christ.

Makes one go...

HMMMmmm...

Yes, Mary was Jewish, but she became the main supporter of her Son, Christ, the Anointed One. The First Christian in my estimation and his mother.

“Martin Luther was a heretic and a tool of Satan”.

There are tools and there are TOOLS...

Pope Stephen VI (896–897), who had his predecessor Pope Formosus exhumed, tried, de-fingered, briefly reburied, and thrown in the Tiber.[1]

Pope John XII (955–964), who gave land to a mistress, murdered several people, and was killed by a man who caught him in bed with his wife.

Pope Benedict IX (1032–1044, 1045, 1047–1048), who "sold" the Papacy

Pope Boniface VIII (1294–1303), who is lampooned in Dante's Divine Comedy

Pope Urban VI (1378–1389), who complained that he did not hear enough screaming when Cardinals who had conspired against him were tortured.[2]

Pope Alexander VI (1492–1503), a Borgia, who was guilty of nepotism and whose unattended corpse swelled until it could barely fit in a coffin.[3]

Pope Leo X (1513–1521), a spendthrift member of the Medici family who once spent 1/7 of his predecessors' reserves on a single ceremony[4]

Pope Clement VII (1523–1534), also a Medici, whose power-politicking with France, Spain, and Germany got Rome sacked.

SHE did?

That must be why she is barely mentioned at all in the Scriptures.

(How many times is her name found there compared to... pick one.)
