Mormons have some really weird beliefs. For example, many (all) Mormons believe they (males only) can take a cooking/salad oil, pour just a small drop on the crown of your head and their god will heal them of almost anything.

Mormons believe that by wearing ugly underwear bought from a specific company, their god will protect them from harm.

Mormons believe that by wearing a really weird looking costume they are taught secret ways to touch angels so after they die, the angels will let Mormons get into heaven quicker.

Mormons believe their god requires women to not wear outer clothing that covers their crotch (pants) to worship their god in a large and spacious room (chapel).

Mormons believe that a little torn piece of bread and a small sip of water that has been chanted over and then swallowed will require their god to forgive them for their sins.

Mormons believe by consuming certain foods and wearing funny looking clothes god loves them more than the rest of the humans.

It is the same with all parents. We love our children more or less depending upon how ugly their clothes are and how they consume small bits of food items.

The Mormon god must have a sense of humor watching his "SPECIAl" children called Mormons think this makes god love them the most.

I am familiar with the concept of papal infallibility. I know that it does not apply to everything the Pope says or does. I also know that instituted by Pope Pius IX in the late 19th century. It is a doctrine I simply don’t agree with. I think popes are capable of error, even matters of theology.

Rather than trash other religions, I try to understand my own faith better and I serve as a volunteer at my Church and do everything I can to help it out.

My dear, I will leave it to you to judge what is a legitimate religion and what is not.

I do not agree with the teachings of the Mormon Church. But I also do not attack it. I do not ridicule it. I do not make fun of it. It is what it is.

I don’t happen to agree with the Jewish faith either. But I don’t attack that religion either.

I’m a Catholic. I love my Church and practice my faith. I don’t agree with EVERYTHING my Church stands for as well, but I do agree with most of it.

My Church is far from perfect. We have made a lot of mistakes. We are still cleaning up the mess. My archdiocese alone has to grapple with a $660 billion settlement stemming from the homosexual/pedophile priest scandal. It will take us years to recover from that. Church attendance among Catholics is way down nationally and around the world. We have a critical shortage of priests. We have a lot of work to do just repair our own Church and to win back people who were born into our Faith.

I will leave the Mormon bashing to you. We need to build up our own Church and restore its credibility, not to tear down other faiths and churches IMHO.

I AM focused on fixing my own Church which has more than it share of its own problem.

When I pray for other people, it is for people of all faiths, or lack thereof, including atheists which I have in my own family. I don’t leave anyone out.
