I thought the blood of Attila ran through the veins of about 17% of the population. A.T.H. got around, and he didn’t often take no for an answer.

Well my family goes back that far in Hungary and I connect to Attila on my fathers side. And yeah there are a lot of blood relatives all the up to Rome.

Cardinal, I pray that the resignation you submitted on your 70th birthday, June 29, is speedily accepted, so you can enjoy your well-earned retirement.

Unfortunately, the retirement age is 75.

And immigration is how Rome has mainly gained and maintained her numbers.

A Catholic in Mexico immigrates to the U.S. and that somehow increases the number of Catholics in the world? That must be some of that Common Core math coming out because I just don't see it.

Well, well, well.....

All those Catholics who I worked with who voted for democrats because they were *for the poor* in spite of the abortion issue have company at the higher levels of the Catholic church.

Looks like my anecdotal evidence wasn’t so untenable after all, even though I was basically accused of lying about it.

Do Catholics not read or is it comprehension that causes problems? Did you not see the and maintained in that quote?

Oh come now. You know this is just an “off the reservation” guy who has been mistranslated and the MSM has made up stuff and besides, the Church doesn’t change or make mistakes even if the Bishops do.

Context. In the US of course.

You didn’t say the “U.S.” You said “Rome”.

Context.

I’m not Catholic, but I remember Cardinal O’Malley as being seriously considered for Pope when Francis was chosen last time.

As what one does and effects constitutes what one believes, (Mt. 7:20; Ja. 2:18) and Rome treats prosodomites and murderers as members in life and in death, then that is much what she believes. And immigration is how Rome has mainly gained and maintained her numbers.

You didn’t say the “U.S.” You said “Rome”. Context.

What is wrong here? Do you really think i was referring to the city of Rome, or Roman Catholicism in the US?

And how exactly does a Catholic moving somewhere "maintain" the number of global Catholics? If you move from one state to another does that impact the total number of Protestants, or whatever, that there are in the world? It doesn't change it, or maintain it. It does nothing but put one of a number in a different place.

That depends on who's asking.

If somebody actually thinks that people moving from one place to another is a way for a church to have “gained or maintained” it’s numbers then, yes, I would say we are dealing with kindergarten level thinking.
