Thank you for the update, and maybe you’re right; this is an opportunity to live healthier. :)
Didn’t know that about plastic water bottles. I fill gallon BPA-free blue plastic jugs with “Glacier” brand water, it’s “reverse osmosis” and I think it’s pretty pure. Do you think I’m still getting acid?
Among other things, I use it to make organic “half-caf” coffee, so not escaping all acid.
So happy to hear your good report, OneVike. Hoping your “appointment with an gastroenterologist to get a barrage of tests to make sure there isnt something they missed” turns out well.
Doctors do not study nutrition in medical school, so I’m hoping that you also take a little time to do some research on that topic. A healthy diet is really important. Almost everything that comes in cans or boxes contains unhealthy ingredients.
GailA, you give good advice, but there’s one thing-—antibiotic soap is not a good idea. Use of it causes germs to be more resistant. Besides, antibiotic ingredients affect only bacteria; soil contains not only that, but also fungi and viruses which would not be affected.
Washing very thoroughly with lots of regular soap and hot water is just as effective.
OneVike, glad you are better. Praise God. :)
By the way, Crohn's is relatively common. It's a disease of civilization lol.
Trust they ruled out Celiac Disease as well....Diverticulitis and IBS are too often diagnosed as the problem when in fact Celiac Disease is the real culprit.
Yeah, no Celiac disease was diagnosed.
Praise God! I lol-ed about not watching medical shows. Me, too!
Keep getting better. Prayers ongoing...
Thank the Lord you have something treatable and not too serious. Take care and May God Bless You.
Plain organic yogurt.
Word to the wise, check out everything you are “prescribed” or want to take.
For example, a probiotic pill that I was going to take that had titanium dioxide as a coloring. I decided to just stick with organic plain yogurt.
IMHO, read the ingredients on everything, stick with real foods made naturally as much as possible.
fyi for the future - on a totally different subject - for cholesterol balance, daily oat meal is invaluable. Not fun, perhaps, but it’s a food that works in that regard. Of course you can put fresh fruit or other goodies in the oat meal.
So glad! I told you it would have to be some acute bug. Sounded awful but cancer is more quiet and less sudden. Yes, eat sparingly for a while and stick to what works. Heal quickly, FRiend!
We praise Thee o Lord and we adore Thee. May Thy servant continue to experience improvement in his condition.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet:
Eternal Father, I offer you the body, blood, soul and divinity of your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. (10x)
Yay! (Prayers work retroactively, sometimes.)
More healing prayers. You might try some yogurt and toast, they can be easy of the stomach.
COSTCO has an excellent probiotic that is in pill form and you take one a day after a meal. It’s not expensive and really works well.
I joined this site to get what I think is really great advice regarding the potency, etc. of different supplements and products. They analyze brands by content and price and note the best bang for the buck. They also study the effectiveness of various products. There is a cost but it’s WELL worth it!
Because of this site I ended up going to Walgreens and Costco - and abandoning some of my previous brands that weren’t as cost effective, etc.
You can find a good pro-biotic here. I did.
Thanks I’ll look into it.
You are the second or third one who mentioned Costco. My wife and I will be going there for our Monthly shopping of bulk items, and I will definitely look into what they have to offer.
