"It has no dietary laws, no dress codes for men or women and very little that its members can say is actually required of them by way of observance."

Christianity doesn't have dietary laws or dress codes, either. Those are easy, legalistic fillers that may let a person evade the complete reformation of your heart, mind, body, and soul that is true Christianity.

Same goes with liberal and orthodox synagogues.

The Episcopal Church had a membership of 3.4 million in the mid-1960s; today, that number is slightly over 2 million.

The ECUSA has become the "Church of What's Happening Now" especially since High Priestess Jefforts-Shori and the Fag Bishop took over. Their only concern is how much you can contribute. I may go to hell, but I'll be damned if I'll pay dues to the ECUSA to get there!

God will back His gospel, not some man-made, watered-down message.

God will back the exaltation of Jesus, not some muddled, every-path-leads-to-God nonsense.

God will back the call to take up the cross and live for Him, not some flesh-pleasing success formula.

God will back biblical standards, not some meet-me-halfway, worldly-wise compromise.

Amen, amen, amen, and amen!

The Church of Come as You Are and Do as You Please is destined to fail.

If you say I can be saved by believing nothing and doing nothing... then why show up for anything?

Liberal churches commit suicide.

What’s the point of going to a church where sin is praised? One can watch tv for that.

I believe that to be true. You go to church to acknowledge and worship God. Liberal churches don't do that so there is no reason to go their. Naturally angelical churches draw more members.

(Almost every day conservative Christians are told that if we don’t become more enlightened and progressive, we will become irrelevant to society as our numbers continue to decline.)

Seems that is society’s problem not mine. My relevancy is found in God not our society...........

For a while my niece was attending a Unitarian Church. She liked it for a while but eventually the church became divided because the minister was talking about God (or god) too much. Some members (who were atheists) were really upset.

Everyone liked the songs and the fellowship, but not God. My niece also mentioned that at one of the church group meetings they couldn’t figure out why they kept losing members especially since their church was so “open”. It was hard for me not to laugh when my niece discussed her concerns with me.

I call BS on that. That's probably total number on their mailing lists. As for the total butts in the pews on an average sunday? Probably a couple hundred thousand at most.

Do you know where the Lutheran church is becoming strongest?

Madagascar. MADAGASCAR.

There are 2.1 million LCMS Lutherans in the US, and 3 million in Madagascar, with only 22 million in the whole Madagascar Republic. I pray that they will begin sending missionaries here, so that not only the truth of the gospel, but the power of the Holy Spirit that draws all men toward Christ, can be once again seen in the denomination.

It start when churches start preaching only 1 half of the gospel. When all you hear is God loves you no matter what, and not the other part of the Gospel. RUN!

Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the LORD spoke of when he said: “ ‘Among those who approach me I will be proved holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.’ ” Leviticus 10:3

Lots of talk about the love of God these days. Little talk about the holiness of God. While this verse in Leviticus may seem self center of God, it actually reflect our failure to honor that which is good and true. Those churches who do not honor and seek the holiness of God simply won't last long.
