Tebow Gets Help from Above?

It’s the second round of the playoffs and Tim Tebow is still winning. He’s just not doing it all alone, at least that’s what America believes.

But America must not be watching his defense, coaching, running game or blocking. They’re convinced there’s a greater power assisting the devoutly Christian quarterback.

According to a survey done by Poll Position, 43 percent of the general public think some of Tebow’s success can be attributed to divine intervention. In other words, God is helping Tebow win games.

The Broncos upset Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers on Sunday afternoon in a wild-card playoff game. Tebow had his best game as a professional in the victory. He threw for a career-best 316 yards and two touchdowns, with what some believe was a boost from above.

Poll Position asked 1,076 phone participants these two questions:

1. Are you aware of the success of Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow?

2. (Among those aware of Tebow’s success) Do you believe that any of Tim Tebow’s success can be attributed to Divine Intervention?

Only 70 percent (756 respondents) were aware of Tebow’s success. The other 30 percent must never watch ESPN. Fifteen percent had never heard of Tebow, and 16 percent didn’t have an opinion on the subject.

Of the 756 respondents who knew of Tebow’s recent on-field conquests, 43 percent attributed some of the touchdown passes and runs to divine intervention.

Something tells me that number would have been significantly smaller if the subject was Big Ben.

If his successes (completions and victories) are attributable to divine intervention, the so are his failures (incompletions, interceptions and losses)

Tebow’s been working at this since he was five years old. He did it with his own effort. While he believes God gave him his abilities and has a plan for him, he never sat back and counted on God to do his physical conditioning for him. If anything he did the exact opposite and put in more effort than anyone else.

And I don’t think Tebow would disagree with you...everything that happens in a believer’s life happens for a reason. So the good is good, the bad is disapointing, but I’ve heard Tebow say it’s not about winning and losing.

He’s not the one stirring up the “God is on our side” talk...it’s the pundits. And I’m convinced the religion controversy is a smokescreen they throw up as to why Tebow is controversial, when in my mind, he’s controversial because they keep saying he can’t and he does.

I think TT, as far as good games and bad games, would echo the words of Scripture, “The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Also remember that the NFL and a network went against Tebow's Pro- Life anti- abortion Ad not to play in last year's Super Bowl commercials. It was fully paid for the price too if I remember. The Ad showed how the Doctors recommended an abortion for Tim Tebow and look what happen.

The man is agile football player with more attention than ever. The last football game was the highest in 25 years for a playoff game. Tomorrow nights game will even be bigger in prime time.

More people have looked up John 3:16 on google than anything else during or after his games. This man is one of the great Christian witnesses ever. Not even Paul or Peter had this type of media coverage if you can call it that.

Even if he loses tomorrow his witness is bigger than ever. Personally I believe he just might go all the way.

God works in strange ways . If Tim prayers all Glory to you Father on all my wins. A humble and contrite heart he will not ignore. This man will go to the Super Bowl. He will glorify Jesus like he always has in the past. I believe he is cresting a revival from Christ before America may have a big Fall. Let's say our prayers.

Amen to that, brothers and sisters...

Btw, I just saw the weatherman predict full-force gale winds blowing tomorrow night in New England.

Upsetting Brady’s passing game?

Hmmmmm..... Could it be a sign from the Lord?

Like a full force gale
I was lifted up again
I was lifted up again by the Lord

And no matter where I roam
I will find my way back home
I will always return to the Lord

I was headed for a fall
Then I looked up and saw
The writing on the wall

Like a full force gale
I was lifted up again
I was lifted up again by the Lord : )

"If God is not sovereign over a mere football game, He is not sovereign over anything."

Yep. If not even a sparrow falls to the ground apart from God's will then I'm confident he's involved in all our affairs. Thank goodness.
