A gay priest sex scandal has rocked the Catholic Church in Italy today after a weekly news magazine released details of a shock investigation it had carried out.

Using hidden cameras, a journalist from Panorama magazine - owned by Italian Prime Minister and media baron Silvio Berlusconi - filmed three priests as they attended gay nightspots and had casual sex.

Today there was no immediate comment from the Italian Bishops Conference and the Vatican - which has been rocked by a series of sex scandals involving paedophile priests since the start of the year. Caught in the act: A priest - still wearing his dog collar - approaches a gay 'accomplice' of the undercover reporter as their casual affair is caught on camera.

God the living Father warns us in Romans 1:

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient…(Romans 1:26-28)

Gay or homosexual sin is sin indeed and this form of sin is the lowest recompence of their sin error: For the pattern is this: First they deny the God ordained order for leadership in the church, that Pastors should be men, and the husband of one wife, etc. Almost always the ordination of women into pastoral roles in these ‘churches’ is followed by the ordination of homosexuals, or the abomination of homosexual marriages. Thus the apostate church bears witness to Romans chapter 1.

When the Church invites sodomites into the priesthood, there’s no surprise when they engage in sodomy.

Ping... Correct.

I have learned from Catholic seminary statistics that many men who enter seminary for the study of the priesthood are "leaning towards homosexual" tendencies, and the statistics I have read also indicated that quite large percentage of new students are thus inclined. Therefore it is no surprise (as you correctly said) when they engage in sodomy.

three priests? Is that all?

There are a couple thousand priests in Rome.

Heck, you could find more gay priests in the bars in Pittsburgh...

you bigot: Some protestant seminaries have fifty percent gays, and they even let them room together.

The church is busy cleaning their house out which is why the press is pulling stunts like this one. Notice they don’t hit non Catholic churches.

Heck, every day I have to look at two open Gays, one of whom was even arrested for nudity, on CNN International. But the press wants to destroy the church.

you are showing ignorance of Catholicism, and painting thousands of good priests with the sins of a few.

Last time I looked, calumny and slander were sins.

I have known many Priests, and many pastors. I have known only one personally who engaged in the ‘gay’ scene...he was not Catholic, and he was also married.

This is not a Catholic Priest problem...this is a human problem. We call ‘he’n’ and ‘he’n’ Sodomy because it is the root sin that caused the destruction of Sodom and Ghormora.

Jesus Christ the Preeminent One has already completely PAID for all my former and future sins.

Christ said "It is Complete"

When Christ died for the sins of the world, neither you nor I were born yet, yet Christ died for those sins. So what sin do I commit today that was not already paid for by Christ my Saviour - NONE!

I never must confess my sins to anyone; I am fully forgiven. Nothing can take my salvation away from the hand of God who called me before the foundation of the World. My name is written in the blessed book of God's elect, saved, Christian Saint.

What ignorance of Catholicism? ... you say...

I formerly was Catholic, I have read the theology of Catholicism, I have read the catholic catechism, I have read of the history of the Catholic Popes...

I am not ignorant. I am not Catholic. I am a Saint who received this designation title directly by God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

You wrote:

Most likely all you read was a single volume (perhaps two) about scandals connected with popes. Right?

“I am not ignorant.”

So you claim. Your posts, however, seem to indicate otherwise when we compare them to those of truly ignorant people we’ve seen here in the past. Guilt by association is, sadly, far too reliable in that regard.

Well, then by your reasoning, so are all those homosexual and pedophile priests. So why be upset, they are all saints, no?

Journalists don’t do this kind of investigation in the U.S. because they don’t want to expose the fifth columnists and saboteurs who they think are “changing the Church” for the better.

ah, but you seem to have read the “anti Catholic” talking points, not what Catholics actually believe.

I meet lots of “ex catholics” confused and joining other churches, not because they reject Catholic teachings, but because some bigot showed them the talking points and they never bothered to try to find out what the church actually believes.

For example, Jesus told his disciples that they can forgive sins. Doesn’t say we have to confess them, but as a doc, you know, humbly confessing what we did wrong is good for us, because it helps us to repent fully and recognize our faults.

and I’m glad you are a saint.

I’m just a sinner relying on the mercy of Jesus to cover my sins, who tries one day at a time to serve him, and repent of my sins (including anger) when I slip.
