When President Joe Biden began his campaign trip in Las Vegas last week, everything seemed to be running as smoothly as it could for an 81-year-old president in physical and cognitive decline. The day before he abruptly left town, Biden delivered the keynote address in front of a packed crowd of almost five thousand people at the NAACP National Convention at the Mandalay Bay hotel. On Wednesday, Biden was scheduled to deliver the keynote at the UnidosUS annual convention at the MGM Grand, with thousands in attendance anticipating his arrival. With the venue located right off the Las Vegas Strip,...

A bombshell new poll has predicted which presidential candidate will win the election based on a 'no tossup' electoral map. RealClearPolitics showed Trump taking multiple swing states in the Rust Belt region - in addition to one that hasn't been nabbed by a Republican in decades. The map shows Trump winning in Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and even Virginia. Biden won Virginia in 2020 by 10 points and no Republican has taken the state since former president George W. Bush did so in 2004. The RCP map shows that, as of late July, Trump will win the election 325-213...

Kamala Harris has suffered a blow in a poll that looked at how alternative Democratic candidates would do in swing states. There have been calls for U.S. President Joe Biden to be replaced as the Democratic candidate since the world watched his poor performance in his debate with Donald Trump on June 27. Many have assumed the vice president would be the obvious choice, but a new poll shows she doesn't fare as well as others, and she wasn't among the four who performed best. Analytics company BlueLabs carried out research to determine who would increase the number of people...

US President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, the White House confirmed on Wednesday evening after CNN and other media outlets reported the diagnosis. Word of the diagnosis came approximately an hour and a half before Biden was expected to speak at the UnidosUS conference in Las Vegas. “I was just on the phone with President Biden. And he shared his deep disappointment at not being able to join us this afternoon. The President has been at many events as we all know and he just tested positive for COVID,” Janet Murguía, president and CEO of UnidosUS, told attendees....

(KTLA) — Coronavirus levels in California’s wastewater have reached a “very high” level for the first time since last winter. According to the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the trend matches what’s being reported in several other states. The Golden State was one of seven states with “very high” levels; the others were Arkansas, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, Oregon and Texas. In Los Angeles County, the nation’s most populous, coronavirus levels in wastewater have also increased.

Captain Sam Brown is running for the U.S. Senate from Nevada. I met Sam recently. His face was burned beyond recognition. A roadside bomb in Afghanistan had detonated under the fuel tank of his Humvee. At first, his badly scarred face unsettled me. But after a few minutes in his company, his face softened, and I caught glimpses of the very handsome man he once was and the kind-hearted man he still is. I asked myself what had motivated him to make such a sacrifice. It was soon clear: God, family, and country. I then asked myself a more difficult...

After the Washoe County Commission refused to certify a recount result following multiple allegations of misconduct, Nevada Democrat officials want to force them to certify the election results anyway. The July 11 primary races for County Commission District 4 and School Board Trustee District G were contested. The county held two recounts, which showed practically the same results as the primary, with County Commissioner Clara Andriola winning her District 4 race and Perry Rosenstein winning his school board race, according to The Nevada Independent. Fellow Washoe County Board of Commissioners Mike Clark and Jeanne Herman voted with Andriola on Tuesday, however,...

What did the founders do? They committed an act of treason by signing the Declaration of Independence. They recognized at some point you have to take on the established regime when it is not only unjust, but when there is no lawful way to get it back on track. These matters frame our own nation. Texas had just filed its original action in the Supreme Court against Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan -- four swing states whose election officers had clearly violated election law in those states and with an impact that put Biden over the top in all four....

Schumer-linked PAC latest instance of Democrats relying on dark money while claiming to oppose it.. A new dark money group that has been blanketing swing state airwaves with ads supporting vulnerable Democratic senators has taken steps to conceal its ties to Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer’s (D., N.Y.) super PAC, according to a Washington Free Beacon review of tax records. The 501(c)4 nonprofit group, Duty and Honor, has invested heavily in swing states this election cycle on ads casting vulnerable Democratic senators as bipartisan champions of border security. The group invested $2.4 million in Ohio in May on an ad...

Conservative organizations have filed several lawsuits challenging the Silver State’s election processes in advance of November, with the latest relating to commercial addresses they say they found in the state’s voter rolls. Last week, the Public Interest Legal Foundation, along with two Nevada Republican voters, filed a lawsuit against Clark County’s registrar of voters, seeking to force the largest Nevada county to investigate the use of commercial addresses on voter registrations. *** “In Clark County, people are registered to vote from strip clubs, casinos, gas stations, and more crazy addresses where it appears no one could reasonably live,” foundation president,...

In Nevada, abortion is currently legal up...

The Democratic Party is facing a potential crisis. Following Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump, concerns about his fitness to serve have intensified. The debate has left the party in a state of panic, with whispers of Biden stepping down becoming louder. It has always been the plan from the start, which is why they scheduled the debate for this year unusually early. However, it may already be too late to remove Joe Biden from the ballot. The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project is gearing up for a counter-fight should Democrats attempt to pull Biden off the top of...

The Heritage Oversight Project has identified three swing states – Georgia, Nevada and Wisconsin – where they believe removing Biden from the Democratic ticket would prevent anyone else from replacing him. Wisconsin does not allow withdrawal from the ballot for any reason besides death, while in Nevada, no changes can be made to the ballotafter 5 p.m. on the fourth Friday in June of an election year unless ‘a nominee dies or is adjudicated insane or mentally incompetent.’ In Georgia, if Biden were to withdraw less than 60 days before the election, his name would remain on the ballot but...

More voters in six key swing states say they trust former President Donald Trump to do a better job than President Joe Biden handling threats to democracy in the U.S., according to a poll by The Washington Post. The Post's survey, conducted with the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University, involved voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin — all states Biden narrowly won in the 2020 election. Among the voters who participated in the survey, 64% were labeled "deciders" by the Post because they are sporadic or uncommitted voters who likely will play...

As the Nevada caucuses drew to a close in February, Donald J. Trump and several top aides gathered for a quick dinner in a suite atop his hotel in Las Vegas before he descended and declared victory. But the Republican billionaire at the center of attention during the meal was not Mr. Trump — it was Dr. Miriam Adelson. The former president, by then on a glide path to the Republican nomination, wanted financial support from Dr. Adelson, a conservative megadonor, and she had a request or two. Be less bombastic, she told him, and speak more directly about the economy. But...

CV NEWS FEED // Critics say Nevada Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro, D-Las Vegas, is using the fact that she is a mother of young children – despite her fervent support for abortion – to her political advantage. Cannizarro is widely considered a rising star in the key battleground state’s Democratic Party and is rumored to be a potential candidate for statewide office in 2026. On June 13, the Democrat posted on X (formerly Twitter) a picture of herself and her husband posing with ultrasound photographs of their unborn child. In the post, Cannizarro wrote: “Decided we needed a bigger...

A Clark County judge has dismissed the charges filed against the six Nevada Republicans who submitted an invalid slate of electoral votes for former President Donald Trump in 2020 on the grounds that the county was not the appropriate jurisdiction for the case. At a Friday morning hearing in Clark County District Court, Judge Mary Kay Holthus said she was unconvinced by state prosecutors’ arguments that Clark County was the appropriate county to hear the case. The electors’ attorneys had argued a more appropriate venue would be in Carson City, where the false signing ceremony took place, or in Douglas...

A Nevada state court judge dismissed a criminal indictment Friday against six Republicans accused of submitting certificates to Congress falsely declaring Donald Trump the winner of the state's 2020 presidential election, potentially killing the case with her ruling that state prosecutors chose the wrong venue to file the case. Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford stood in a Las Vegas courtroom a moment after Clark County District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus delivered her ruling, declaring that he will take the case directly to the state Supreme Court. "The judge got it wrong and we'll be appealing immediately," Ford told reporters...
