I just wanted to ask if anyone else has thought of this. But in case you're wondering, though it does somewhat concern her, the subject of this post has nothing to do with pleasuring the world reknowned geo-political analyst of sequined T-shirt fame.
Anyway, I've noticed that Leftists never ever get held accountable for anything. It has never happened. Whether it be on domestic or foreign policy issues, the Left never suffers even the mildest inconvenience for its mistakes, no matter how profoundly stupid. Stupid environmental laws pushed for by EnviroLeftists destroyed millions of acres of America's forests last year and yet the very same idiots are still invited to Congress to testify on issues they have proven themselves to be seriously (and dangerously) ignorant about every damn year ... their bleatings are still taken seriously. i.e. Paul Erlich still shows his face and expounds on the environment without any shame or challenge.
On foreign policy, it's even worse. Have you noticed Clinton being forced to at least acknowledge that his extremely stupid North Korea strategy has proven disastrously wrong? No.
Do you honestly believe that if Castro were to die tomorrow and the people of Cuba overthrow the Communist government and start revealing the hell Castro has put them through, there would be any consequence suffered by the Leftist Idiotarians like Barbara Walters, Jimmy Carter, Steven Speilberg, etc. who have spent these last few years having orgies in his honor? No.
Up until his death, Stalin was the Castro of the Left, with groupies all over the West, especially among the 'elite'. But right after his death, it emerged that he really was the genocidal bastard Conservatives always said he was. But were Leftists made to at least acknowledge that they were wrong? No. So they went on to their knees in front of Mao next, Castro, then Ho, then Pot, soon it will be Hugo Chavez, but now (much as they try to deny it) it's Saddam.
Note that these same idiots opposed the deposition of the Taliban, wailing about the thousands of missiles (have you noticed that Leftists, despite having no knowledge of any military matters, talk less of the US war plans, always seem to know the number of missiles that would rain down on Baghdad?) that would kill "The Children(TM)" in Afghanistan, the number of our troops that would be killed in a quagmire and that the people of Afghanistan actually liked living under the Taliban because they said so to BBC reporters (ignore the "minders" aiming AK-47s at their heads). Less than a month later, they were conclusively proven wrong on all these "points". Yet they somehow escaped any and all criticism. Enough so that they actually have the audacity to come back and display their idiocy again in public.
I recognize that this lack of accountability is largely the fault of the Press, being that it's dominated by Leftists and they understandably don't want to shoot themselves in the foot. But they don't control the FreeRepublic, the blogosphere, the internet as a whole, and thank goodness, Fox News.
I want us to help make sure they (the Left) don't escape what's coming to them once Saddam is deposed. I want to make them face, at least once, the consequences of being wrong.
The images of the people of Iraq dancing in the street and the revelations of what really was going on in the travesty that is Saddam's Iraq is going to captivate the world for a while. And you can bet that all the Idiotarian celebrities, Presstitutes and politicians who opposed the war would try to keep a low profile ... some would even try to act like they supported it all along i.e. Barbara Lee stood without any shame to clap for Hamid Karzai during the SOTU (2002) when she opposed the liberation of his country.
Somehow the Left is almost certain of escaping any of the consequences of their stupidity.
I am hoping you guys would help to stop this from happening. Keep their profiles high and remind the world with every new discovery of some atrocity by Saddam that Barbra Streisand, Woody Harrelson, the New York Times, Susan Sarandon, etc. opposed his removal. IOW, each time a new story comes out illustrating Saddam's degeneracy, we should remind everyone that the war was opposed by Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Martin Sheen, Barbra Streisand, etc.
My fondest hope is that some group would gather some money together, splice a montage of pictures of life before (the victims lying dead in Halabja, newly discovered mass graves, maimed and tortured people, etc.) and after (Iraqis dancing in the street, political prisoners being released from prisons, etc.) the fall of Saddam and then list out some of the prominent useless idiots who opposed ending Saddam's reign of terror (with quotes) and put this montage in ads on national TV.

No argument here. Though I should point out that there is a double-standard in play when the "intellectual elite" and the "mainstream press" judge the mistakes of the Left and the mistakes of the Right.
When the Left screws up, they are forgiven because they had professed "good intentions." So they are not judged by their actions or outcomes, but the supposedly "noble" ideals they had in their hearts.
When the Right screws up, they are NOT forgiven because it doesn't matter to those doing the judging what their intentions were. They are judged solely on the perceptions of their accusers. This has played out when Lott praised Strom Thurmond's platform (even though he was referring only to Thurmond's platform on increased Defense), and when Mayor Anthony William's aide was forced to resign after he used the word "niggardly," thus causing an outcry among the ignorant Leftists.
Thus, until we consistently and continually expose and aggressively seek to annihilate this double-standard, we may as well get used to watching the Left (literally) get away with murder.
