CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Spelling isn't a high priority for several candidates in city elections.

A handful of candidates misspelled their party affiliation on the official filing forms in the city clerk's office.

Four Democrats erroneously spelled their party name either as "Democart" or "Democrate."

You know, I was startled by that also. How can ANYONE not remember their college major? I mean, it's something you (apparently) did for four years. It made me wonder if she had doctored her resume.

Did anyone see Carol Mosely Braun on TV yesterday (2/23)?

She was asked: "What was your major in college?"

She couldn't remember!

She flummoxed, saying something like -- "Was it political science, or maybe it was history."

"What was your major in college?"

What a hoot that was. Smells fishy... Everyone earning a four year degree remembers what their major was. Absurd!
