(Vanity) Anyone know what this Rush caller was talking about?

I hesitate to post a whole thread just to ask this, and I can't believe this hasn't been covered at FR today, but I couldn't find a single related thread... (although searching for 'CNN' gives no results, strangely).
Anyhow, earlier today a woman called Rush and was outraged about CNN's on-screen graphics during a speech by President Bush. From the discussion I gathered that Rush must have mentioned it earlier in the show, as well.
Anyhow, between the caller & Rush, the description of the captions or headers superimposed over Bush's speech seemed deliberately intended to undermine the speech. The caller complained of being told what to think & being insulted by the captions. Rush specifically mentioned one that read something like "IT'S THE ECONOMY, AGAIN!!!" and they were displaying criticism of the President's statements even as he was giving them... also, showing a split-screen with Bush talking on one side and the Dow tanking on the other.
I realize that watching CNN is a mark of shame :) but did anyone see this, and can give any more specifics, or better yet, screenshots?

Off the subject, I also heard CNN Radio news during one of Rush's breaks, and the reporter was talking about the new recommendations for arming airline pilots. He said the recommended gun was a "forty millimeter" pistol. Wow, 40 mm. They really mean business, huh? CNN is such a professional news organization.

I think during a W speech this morning CNN was flashing opposing commentators' soundbites (with "!") and stock market data across the screen.

Whenever the President, Powell, Rumsfeld, etc. are speaking on FOXNEWS I always scan the other channels to see if they too care covering the event. I went to CNN and saw exactly what the RUSH caller described. It was dreadful. I keep thinking some goof-balls in the control room where playing around with the graphics and did not realize their 'work' was being broadcast. It was a ROYAL SLAM by CNN on PRESIDENT BUSH!

Anyone have the phone number for CNN? I think we should all be calling them. Also, Sheen's anti-war commercials are due to start running this weekend on CNN, MSNBC, and others.

A Forty Millimeter Pistol? Makes Smith & Wesson's new .50 cal seem like a pea shooter.
40 Millimeters is a slug over 1.5 inches diameter. Would make quite a fearsome exit wound. Get shot in the arm, your leg would prolly fall off.

Wonder if they'll be concealed weapons?
"Excuse me, Captain, is that a 40-mm in your pocket, or are..."
Ah, never mind.

The fact that few people watch CNN gives me a nice warm feeling. It looks like they're in a competition with MSNBC to see who can lose the most viewers.

I'm guessing and hoping the poor CNN idiot meant 40 cal not 40 mike mike. To handle firing something like that would be unbearable to the human frame - taking off the arm that fired it.
In my mind, I'm seeing something on the order and stature of a flare gun flinging lead - but then, my wife says I dream a lot....

Only brain impaired folks watch CNN on a fulltime basis. Those of us who stumble over there during channel flipping are forgiven....the rest should check with their shrink!

Isn't 40 mm what the Warthog carries?

Me too. You'd need about a full arm length and a half to recoil on that one (if it didn't loosen the arm from the shoulder).

You saw it? Can you tell us exactly what it said (sort of) and what it looked like? Was it that much different from the crap that is usually on the bottom on the Terror Ticker?
