For 8 long miserable years the world endured the pitiful reign of your perverted hero. A man who exemplified that all too familiar Democrat position that "character doesn't matter". And as such, he lied. He lied about a middle class tax cut. He lied about a desire to get those responsible for the 1993 World Trade Centre attack, the attack on the embassies in East Africa, the attack on the USS Cole. He lied about his relationship with Monica. He lied and lied and lied in an endless stream of bovine excrement. And when the lies were exposed, you refused to believe it or tried to sweep it under the carpet.

You'll find no sympathy here. No one will say you have anything remotely near a point. Thanks to a President who was more interested in interns than policy, self-gratification than service to the nation, selfishness rather than genuine altruism, 3000 people died on September 11. The blood cannot be washed off of your hero's hands, nor can it be washed off you as one of his defenders.

Bush won the election legitimately, and thus ended this malignant reign. Again, if it hurts you, good. As I say, may it clog your vision with rage, make you whinge like the spoiled child you are, make you bang your little fists against the wall in an expression of your own impotence. As is just and right upon seeing the consequences of wickedness visited on those who perpetrate it, myself and my colleagues are LAUGHING.

Similar to the Alcoholics Anonymous 12 step progam, let me humbly suggest a 3 step program for those in your "condition":

1. Learn that the US is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC - not a democracy. For extra credit, learn the difference.
2. Figure out that ELECTORAL VOTES, not the popular vote, determines who wins a presidential contest. That comes from an obscure document that you may have heard of - the US CONSTITUTION.
3. If step one and step two don't ease your pain, seek help. Might I suggest any number of fellow freepers. After all, we had to endure EIGHT YEARS of a REAL Soviet Style dictatorship (AKA the Xlinton Administration). We are a great resource for help in coping.

I calmly explained that in a democracy, ballots are cast, and the candidate with the most votes is declared the winner, and assumes the office to which they were elected.

Let me calmly explain something to the author of this troll. The USA is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. The individuals vote for the electors, who choose the President. Bush got more of the electors than Gore.

This is basic 10th grade social studies stuff. Political illiterates like you should be careful of expressing their opinions in forums like this, unless they have a very thick skin.
