I'm unsure what you mean, specifically. I think that "the Pope" anymore should play no more of a part in the thinking of a Christian than, say, the Dalai Lama, or the chief apostle of the Mormon church. His notions are irrelevant to one who leans on the Bible alone as the inerrant, sufficient, complete, perspicuous Word of God.

But if you mean that "Protestants" have cast out truths which, coincidentally, the RCC also affirms to some formal degree(like the Trinity, the Lordship of Christ, sin, the reality of moral absolutes, etc.), then as the kids say, I'm down wid dat.

Are you saying that you think James, who is also listed as a “brother” didn’t believe in Jesus?
