[history]
I voted to authorize the president to use force against Iraq.
I did not come to this decision easily: I strongly oppose a pre-emptive, unilateral strike against another sovereign state.
But as a member of the Intelligence Committee, I have, over the past several months, read, heard and questioned the analyses of many experts; reviewed intelligence materials; studied histories of Iraq and Saddam Hussein; and talked to experts at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna in an effort to define the level of threat Iraq presents to the United States and to American interests abroad.

Dear Dianne: Needing to CYA is not always fun, is it?

How much do you wan to bet this Dimorat really wanted to vote against the resolution and is secretly hoping that Saddam wins.

Double speak. Saying she believes he could kill millions of americans and would do so if he had the chance, and then saying we should let the UN decide our fate. If Saddam does do something she will scream that Bush had the power and did not use it, if he uses before Saddam acts she will lament that. Either way she has found a way to b!tch about the outcome.

But as a member of the Intelligence Committee..... This is the scariest part of the article.

That is why I voted for the Levin amendment, which confined use of force to U.N. action. This resolution, however, was defeated 75 to 24 in the Senate. This is why we must vote the despotic, dangerous, apppeaseNIK/postponeNIK democrats out of power ... they fully intend to tie our hands to doing ONLY what the UN tells us we can do, thereby putting the socialist/communist/dictatorial regimes of freaks to lead our foreign policy. We will not survive as a free Republic should the democrat party take control of the House and Senate, then take the White HOuse in 2004. Time to annihilate the despotic democrat machine's power over us.

I E-mailed her and told her to get her Burka ready unless she changes her liberal thinking.

Not only that, but her "pre-emptive" is purely a lie. This is not pre-emptive at all - it's the result of Sadaam not living up to the agreements he made AFTER THE GULF WAR.
When are people going to get this??

It would be even scarier if the "Intellegince" in the title of Ms. Feignspine's committee referred to mental dexterity.
